Oh, I hate it! It sounds like a wounded elephant (just been shot!). Surely we can come up with something better...More appropriate for the Dubose/Shula eras (or errors)...

I am not a fan of the elephant noise. I would prefer they simply play some sort of stomping/stampeding sound effect instead of that wailing, screeching, honking elephant sound.

I think its main purpose was to incite crowd noise. As long as the crowd stays pumped up (which it will), that thing can go!
