How do you think the recruits who were on hand for the game were influenced by the performance of both teams. I believe if anything they would come away more impressed with Bama considering the injuries sustained prior to and after the game. I believe defensive players would be enthusiastic about coming even if you consider the yards the barn gained. It seems to me that if a high school player knows anything about football and knows the situation Bama was in I believe we might have some good news this coming week. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!

I'd have to agree. I just don't know if kids see it the same way. But they did see freshman getting playing time and making a difference. I'd be more impressed with Alabama too, guess we'll just have to wait and see.

If the recruits are going by yards gained the Barners had 288 total yards of offense to Alabama's 278 yards of total offense. Auburn averaged 1.9 yards rushing playing their starting unit for 4 quarters and Bama averaged 1.8 yards with second, third and sometimes fourth string backs. Allbarn's QB had 18/24 - 216yds - 1 td - 1 int, Pennington was 16/29 - 220 yds - 1 td - 1 int. Our defense held Ronnie Brown to 57 yards rushing and Carnell Williams to under 50.

The Barners beat a crippled Bama team by 8. Is that impressive? IMO Bama is in good shape to sign another top class this coming Feburary. Those young men can see a great program being built and will come to Alabama to be a part of it.

Recruits who were there

I saw RJ Brisbon, Neil Caudle, Michael Ricks, Roy Upchurch, Desmond Jennings, Jarraud Powers at the game. There were tons of prospects there and im glad we gave Auburn a run for their money and the game was interesting.
