He's a great athlete...it doesn't appear there was much room for him in Tuscaloosa. He'll be a good player for them no doubt. But Mr. Barron's commitment today definitely helps ease the pain!
 
Not the #1 back in the state, but solid nonetheless. I'm actually surprised he picked Awburn.

I'm not dropping to Mark Green's level, but Hunt was well behind several other RBs on our board.

Exactly . It was clear that the staff had taken a couple of steps back on him .

BTW - I guess our polls are now officially dead . :( 6+ months and 13 prospects late , the barn has finally nabbed a ranked in-state prospect . :rolleyes:
 
I find it rather amusing that even on a day when awburn reels in their highest rated in-state recruit to date that it's trumped by yet another in-state stud choosing the Tide!!!! The times..........oh they are a changing!!!! Better get used to it barners!!! :biggrin2: :cool2:
 
I was hoping he'd be headed far away from the state. Love his style - blazing fast, surprisngly tough to bring down, instant hole-hitter...

Ya' know... I almost feel sorry for the barners: that almost like when you almost wish that you had a flesh-eating virus or you almost think that gas prices are too low or you almost consider tenndud a reputable and upstanding human being that almost doesn't deserve to be mistaken for a female humpback whale while snorkeling during mating season and repeatedly shown affection by a very excited and lonely male over a 2 day period.

Early in the season, after Matchett and Preyear had committed, I read an interview with Reggie where he stated that 'Bama's interest seemed to have cooled. The handwriting was on the wall even back then. He had UF leading, though, and I am a bit surprised at the Faustian deal he seems to have made...:rolleye2:

I figured he probably wasn't coming to Bama. Even shortly after NSD I had heard that our interest was waning. Still, I would have liked to see him go ANYWHERE, but Awbarn! It's really gonna suck having to face him for four years. When I said I hope he changes his mind, I mean I hope he goes somewhere other than Auburn. Go to Florida, Georgia...who cares? Just don't go to AU!
Anyways, maybe he's not as good as I seem to think he is. Who are the RB's rated ahead of him? Do we have videos on them?
