Well, if this team was Arkansas, yeah. But Alabama?
Alabama is not even close to being the most talented team in college football this season.

How many first round picks does Alabama have? Maybe, maybe Booker. That’s it. If some desperate franchise is foolish enough to roll the dice on Milroe, it really doesn’t count in terms of a positive effect on this team.
Day 2:?Campbell, ?Overton
Day3:Moore, T. Smith

This could easily be the worst Alabama draft since 2007.

Shannon Terry (Alabama fan, recruiting service owner multiple times over) visited an OSU playoff practice recently and stated that Alabama was not close to OSU in talent.

IMO, Alabama is not close to who you suggest they are. They are definitely behind OSU, UGA, Texas, maybe Oregon, then a handful of others with whom there is little difference. But they have to play in the nightmare SEC where they have a massive target on their back, where if you have any letdown you are vulnerable to losing to almost anyone but MSU. If OSU had played Alabama’s schedule or even worse UGA’s, they would have possibly had 3 or 4 losses.

From a recruiting perspective, they are. From a development perspective, you are correct.

I don’t think he can play for either team being he committed already. I may be wrong. The staff probably made him leave the athletics facilities.
I wiould be funny if Bama and Michigan agreed to let him play for Bama in the first half and for Michigan in the second.
It would highlight the absurdity of opening the portal before the season is complete.

You can say what you want, but they beat most of the good teams on the schedule, and that was mostly due to raw talent. We had no decided schematic advantage , to borrow a phrase, against any team we played , except maybe LSU. Of course Bama’s Achilles heel was the lesser teams. The same characteristics that make players great , the grind, the dedication , the preparation are the same things that go into Beating every team on your schedule. I said this in another post, this team has forgotten the sacrifice it takes to be the very best.

Weird flex…
There was a major league baseball player, Danny Jensen, that played two games of a doubleheader for two different teams, Toronto and Boston. He played game 1 for the team to whom he had been traded, and then changed uniforms and played for the Red Sox in the continuation of an earlier game that had been rained out.
Weird.

Pele played one half with the Cosmos and one half for Santos in his final game, but that was more of an exhibition.

You could argue they never knew what it takes to begin with.

The last time Bama won a NC was 2020 and the last time they appeared in the NCG was 2021.

I doubt we have many players left from those teams on the roster at all at this point and especially considering all the Portal traffic the last two years.

Then the last two seasons they've been more preoccupied with catchphrases and endzone dances than doing what it takes to be prepared or actually "letting a naysayer know" anything except they are overly emotional and undisciplined and soft.

This is our Offensive Captain...

This is our Defensive Captain...

That's how they act getting beat by two .500 teams.

What have they let us know during their most challenging moments?

Pathetic actions and pathetic behavior.

I'm more proud of teams that played for Shula and Dubose than these clowns.

From a recruiting services” perspective maybe but I would never trust their precision, neither does anyone else but fans. Ultimately, it is subjective since no one can truly know what potential was in a specific player. Saban has historically been the best at turning 5 stars into 1st round picks vs the rest of CF. The last I saw was ~47% to ~17%.

Saban may have lost a step but he didn’t fall off of a cliff. I assume you’re talking about “talent” from a recruiting services perspective. That is fool’s gold. Along with a few others, Alabama recruits have been overrated for at least 12-15 years. But anyone who depends on the recruiting services ratings for precision is foolish. They have some meaning but to act as though they are precise is naive. The services themselves will often tell you that.

We can argue about it if you wish, but every service has Alabama with the most talent. Georgia is second, and Ohio State third.

He didnt lose a step. The game changed which negated his methods somewhat. Made the proper choice and got out while the getting was good.

Services...
Question: What do you see on the field? Ranking those 3, I would put Ohio State first, UG Second, and Bama third. Talent is certainly there, but a lot of the "experienced" talent left in the portal last year to be replaced by freshmen or lesser experienced players.

You understand that we are talking about, right? As in, this team was too talented to lose to Vandy, TN and the Sooners.
