Rich Rodriguez's Wikipedia page

CRR's Wikipedia page is announcing him as the new head coach at the University of Alabama. I know Wikipedia is not always credible, but what do you guys think about this?
On December 7, 2006, Rodriguez received an offer from the University of Alabama to be the next Crimson Tide head coach. Despite reports that this is all but a done deal, Rodriguez has repeatedly said that talks with Alabama Athletic Director Mal Moore were "informal" and that he is happy in his current job with his alma mater.

Thats all it says. Doesnt say hes our coach.

Although Wikipedia is not the most credible source, I think that it is all right. If they reported it on his site, I am about 95% sure that it actually happened. I hope it is true so that we can get the show on the road and start winning again. This is also a very interesting fact. Thanks man.

Wikipedia is only as reliable as the people who modify the entries, that is to say, anyone at all. It's common for people to make bogus entries, but after a while, it tends to settle into reliability. I wouldn't rely on it for news at ALL.

You can say anything you want about anything you want on wikipedia...

They've already reverted the RR page and locked it down.

Wikipedia is hardly a joke--it can be a valuable source of information. But, as with any other info source, it has it's limitations. As long as you're aware of them, you shouldn't get into too much trouble.

The site is not credible about news. However, his bio on there is quite impressive. I think it's a good hire, if he says yes.

Rich Rodriguez (b. May 24, 1963 in Grant Town, West Virginia) is the current head football coach at University of Alabama.

I don't know.. it sounded like they were announcing it to me!

But I do concede that Wikipedia can be edited by anyone and is often times false. However, I'm hoping that this and all other rumors are true! ROLL TIDE ROLL!
