Looking to make the trip to Fayetteville this year for the first time...anyone got any recommendation on hotels to book or places for pregame "tailgating"? Thanks for any info

Arkansas has specific areas for Tailgating and I have gone to every Bamavs Arky games in Springdale since Shawn Williams brole through for the 80 yard run on the opening play.

You have to contact the school for a permit and you will be given a space at the bottom of the hill.

Usually, visiting fans are sprinkled throughout without any sort of concentration. This is fine, you'll find that 90% of our fans will be very cordial and another 5% will give you nothing but good natured ribbing. So 5% of the fans being douches isn't too bad (Fayetteville isn't Red Stick in other words).

At the same time, some visiting fans used to set up on the south side of 6th street in a parking lot with a small strip mall. This really isn't possible any longer because in the past 6 months or so that strip mall has expanded and so what was a lot of unused terrain before is building now. Just an FYI to any of you guys who used to use that lot.

Just be careful and don't assume that Little Rock has to be close. It is a long haul from Little Rock and is only worse on Game Day.

I'd try a cabin at Devil's Den State Park, bout a 45 minute drive from the stadium. A little rustic but very Ozark. Decent hotels at a somewhat fair price are going to be hard to find in the Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville area. I'd try Rogers/Benmtonville first.

Eat at Hermans, Bordinos, Sassy's, just something local. There's plenty.

If the game is late, get to the farmer's market for fresh veggies for the tailgate and forego store bought. The Fayetteville Farmer's Market on the Square on Sat morning is one of the best in the country.

Remember....... Fayetteville is called The Hill for a reason. Wear some good shoes if your going to walk about. The stadium in in a valley surround by hill on the east, west, and north side.

I am going and have been multiple times in the past. Grew up in Hot Springs, so, know that part of the country very well.

I am flying into Tulsa, which is much closer than Little Rock. If you are driving, go to Memphis, then I-40 through Little Rock to the new interstate which runs north at about Alma, AR.

Got a room in Bentonville which is 20 miles north. Springdale, Fayetteville, Rogers, and Bentonville all run together, so, any of those places are not bad. The cabins would be a good choice as well.

Several good places to eat and their "Strip" is Dixon Street. Best thin crust pizza in the world is at U.S. Pizza and they have a shop on Dixon.

Pretty sure it was Shaud Williams that had that run...

If you're driving the best advice I can give you is LEAVE NOW. The drive takes forever.

Who can ever forget the infamous smoke draw

Whole Hog Cafe on North College. Going North it's on the left in a strip mall where the movie theatre is at. Great BBQ.

Will agree with the Arky fan that Fayetteville is a great gameday enviroment and the fans have been great the couple of times I've been there.
