41 is too young. Several tweets from those presumably close to him seem to indicate violence as the cause. RIP.
Beard was a very good college running back at a time when Alabama was not a very good program. Sad news indeed. He always gave his all and I wish for his soul to Rest In Peace.
From a bygone and rough era, he was a good one. Who will ever forget that day against Ole Miss in 2002?
Or the 2001 Iron Bowl?

One woman claiming to be his cousin does say he was shot and killed last night. Even worse if true.
