Scout.com Ranking Revisions: New national No. 1 player and individual prospect rankings
Over the past week or so, Scout.com has revised its individual prospect rankings and that is the question that keeps coming up. We have made the revisions and ranked each position deeper, some down to the top 100. This is not the final version of the player rankings, but we are getting close, as it’s an ever evolving process until National Signing Day, February 1.

There is a domino effect of the individual prospect rankings that flows through to the team recruiting rankings. As you move these players up or down, add stars or take them away, it modifies and changes the team recruiting rankings. Below is a list of the current top 10 college football programs when it comes to recruiting for the Class of 2006 according to Scout.com. These rankings are updated automatically each and every day, now through Signing Day.

Scout sure seems to have a lot more 5 star players than Rivals does.

Rivals has 28 and Scout has over 50!

A New No. 1 for the National Hot 100
Offensive lineman Andre Smith of Birmingham, Ala; wide receiver Percy Harvin of Virginia Beach, Va.; running back/safety Stafon Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif., and others were considered for Scout.com’s No. 1 spot. Wells got the nod in a close call over Smith.
Andre Smith

“Wells is a big back with good speed,” said Jamie Newberg, National Recruiting Editor at Scout.com. “He has the ability pound it between the tackles and run with authority. Wells has excellent balance, vision and can surprise you with his elusiveness and lateral movement. He just has that rare combination of size, speed, quickness and power that is so hard to find.”
