Game Thread: SEC Championship Game: Georgia vs LSU

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Lot's of penalities called in this game vs other SEC games I have watched.

Note outside of Bama games I have not seen many SEC games so you will need to take that into account when reading above.

Big time. I still think there's something to the conditioning program, or lack thereof, at Georgia. Remember when he let them out of two-a-days a few years ago? Either way, LSU looks fresher, tougher, meaner in the 2nd half than Jawja.

Richt's statement at halftime spoke to that point hugely, IMO. He said something to the effect of "This is what we do at Georgia - come out and play fast for 30 minutes, and then try to play 60 and finish the game."

I thought, how telling. You don't "try" to play 60 minutes in the SEC. You either do it, or you don't.

This is the second time this season that LSU is outplayed but wins because of special teams.

LSU has never before gone 14-0. That will not change in 2011, as they will end this season 13-1, following their thorough defeat on January 9th. :BigA:

I don't think they were outplayed this whole game. The first 20min, sure. But UGA has been backpedaling ever since.

CBS is ridiculous. They start off dogging LSU, then end up talking about their dominance. So glad, ESPN does the NC.

Yeah every game they broadcast, the team that is doing poorly gets dogged. Danielson can't find a single good thing to say about them. Then if the momentum swings they start into the other team. Its sad.

I think it's more about serious recruiting - LSU's second team, like ours, is probably as god or better than UGA's starters...
