Well, he has kept the Cats on a even mediocre keel. He is 72-63 at Kentucky, giving him the highest win percentage of any Wildcats coach since Paul “Bear†Bryant. He has won some big games, and was SEC Coach of the year in 2018.Hard to imagine that Stoops is now the Dean of SEC Football!!!

That is the reason that he has survivedAlso, Kentucky understands what they are. Their ceiling is not much higher, but without Stoops the basement is far, far lower.
