For the past several year, I have been keeping a spreadsheet of all the SEC head coaches compared to Saban's tenure (and Saban's OCs/DCs, too). We all know that he processed the entire SEC multiple times, but it's amazing to actually look at it.

I think Urban was my favorite to be processed. I figure once Fulmer got an inkling of competition and half way capable coaching from Bama he would find a way to leave. tuberville also.

Hard to imagine that Stoops is now the Dean of SEC Football!!!
Well, he has kept the Cats on a even mediocre keel. He is 72-63 at Kentucky, giving him the highest win percentage of any Wildcats coach since Paul “Bear” Bryant. He has won some big games, and was SEC Coach of the year in 2018.

Also, Kentucky understands what they are. Their ceiling is not much higher, but without Stoops the basement is far, far lower.

Coach Saban’s career at Alabama has been stellar! One thing that jumped out to me was Coach Smart has been at Georgia for 8 years. Georgia seems to be the only other stable program, and their results of late show it.
