With all of the chaos and excitement swirling around the program, I guess I haven’t had the time to properly process my feelings about Coach Saban…..
…..and I was very much caught off guard by my reaction to the ending of this one. No onions…no dust…no sun in my eyes…these are real tears. I’m going to miss that “Old GOAT”

Great one but I started to tear up at the end.
Fitting end. But it's not the end. It's only the beginning.
Nicely done. They did something similar when we lost Coach Leach.

In an attempt to "move on" and looking toward the future with Alabama, I've fallen into this we're gonna be okay, we'll be just fine mentality. I forget for a moment or two that He's actually retired. That was sweet but it still hurts.

Wow. They couldn't have done a better ending on that one. I teared up too
I recall when Mal Moore hired him from the Dolphins, I was not over excited about us hiring an Ex LSU head coach and perceived him as being a bit of a short guy with an attitude problem. Well he grew on me and I think many millions of other Bama fans. God I didnt know just how much he had grown on me until he left. I didnt tear up as watching his announcement that he was retiring, but seeing that straw hat and the lights going out really made it hit home he is gone, and how much that perceived short guy grew to our Crimson giant. This feeling is not unlike Coach Bryant retiring. The great thing about Saban is he is in good health and we wont loose him like we did CPB. Its going to take to football season to being for to move on. Thank god we dont have Walter Ray around to tear anything down like he did with CPB's tower.
Thank you Coach and Ms Terry and all the Bama players that have given up joy the past 17 years. And these are real old man adult tears. RTR
