SEC Shorts - Top SEC teams go to detention

It was a week of upsets and close calls for the top SEC teams and now it's time for them to face the music. Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas A&M are all forced to attend detention after their lackluster performance on the field.

I used to really like these guys but they are really just rehashing the same old stuff.

I think they do very well for the small amount of preparation they have.

Like I said, I used to think they were really funny. The "we want bama" task force, the one where tenn took us to court were great!

But they really need to stop re-using the neck brace and sling gag. It's so over done.

They have a challenge. Get something out by Sunday after a Saturday of college football. That is a tall task. But innovate or your shtick becomes stale and unfunny.

I dunno, I think there is a visual shorthand language being used to efficiently convey a butt whooping that transpired, in the interest of saving time. No, it doesn't continue to be hilarious, but by now it is at least informative, and new viewers may be amused until it becomes a part of their visual language of interpreting SEC Shorts.

And budget, props, etc. Last year I saw an interview with Josh Snead. I was very surprised at how much they had to work with especially on such short notice. They do all taping, editing, etc in about 18–24 hours.

For those panning the skits I'd just say it's worth every penny we're paying for it and I'm not sure where else to go for 3 minutes of football smiles. Of course, i've had 3 cups of coffee this morning too!

The production schedule they keep and the events each Saturday makes it impossible to hit a home run every week.
