The only way CMS has a slim chance at a major school is if Kines goes with and I don't think that's going to happen. I think it's safe to say with out Coach Kines' defense the 10 win season last year wouldn't have happened. I think CMS may be good one day but right now he's too young IMHO. He seems to be a great person so I wish him the best.

You know, it's interesting how the talking heads in the media like to drag Alabama's name through the mud about how we dismissed Shula unjustly. But if no other major school goes after him, it kind of validates our actions. Just my 2 cents.

I hear you Tsunami, it's verrrrry low that got me so irritated but afterall, I think they're bunch of auburn "or whatever" intruders and I hope they do not belong to our class of dignified bama fans :mad2:

Yep. I think the stategy of hiring him knowing he would be a crappy coach and we could fire him after he helped pulled us out of a wasteland worked to perfection. Best of all, no one could blame us or write illogical comments in there terrible sports columns.

Shula was fairly well respected as a quarterbacks coach in the pros. I think that he has a pro coach mentality and will probably return to that level at some point.

I never heard the official word that they did fire their HC, but if discipline issues were abundant under CMS at Bama, that's probably not a good situation for FIU based on their incident with Miami...

CMS is a pretty darn good QB Coach . Consideration for any other coaching position should not be taken very seriously at all . CMS is a great person but , he does not have any of the qualities that are needed to be in any position of leadership . No fire . No emotion .

To be honest , the thought of CMS getting another shot as a head coach is making me quite drowsy .

I will always have great memories of his play on the field . I'll probably attempt to choose to forget his time spent on the sideline as Head Coach at the U of A .

JOMO . Sorry for so being painfully honest .
