Same thinking for me.

Texas has an edge at QB imo.

Manning had been learning Sarks Offense for a while now and got some experience starting last season.

Sayin has attempted 12 passes in his career and was just named starter.

If the game were later in the year and Sayin pans out then I might pick differently.

But 1st game I think Texas pulls off the Road Win.
This is a tough one... OSU is rebuilding, but has the slight edge in overall roster strength.

I think a bunch of it hinges on turnovers and mistakes and who makes them.

I don't really care enough to care who wins except I think a loss for Texas helps our cause a little more come playoff time and the debate about "how many SEC teams should get in."

I'm excited to watch the two young QBs. I figure they'll both be really good in time. There was a reason CNS liked Sayin.

Watching SEC This Morning, they gave me some food for thought. Matt Patricia may try to do/expect too much from his guys on D, coming from the NFL. The New OC for OSU has NEVER CALLED PLAYS!!!

I expect procedure, offsides and delays of game galore. Might be the difference. No ability to get momentum if you keep making mistakes.

Sorry for veering off point, but did we ever get the real story on what happened with the loss of Sayin?

I'm going with Texas but not because I'm putting a ton of thought into it.

Basically I trust Arch to be good more than I trust Sayin. And Ohio State is replacing both of their exceptional coordinators and hired less inspiring choices as replacements
