Soccer checks in at #20 preseason

On paper, this should be another STRONG season for Wes Hart and the ladies. Plenty of returning scorers and we're starting to get those transfers that make a difference.

I watched TCU dominate the season opener last night, winning 3-0. There were problems everywhere for our side: the back line was in shambles, couldn't maintain possession in the midfield resulting in too many long balls and too few passes in the final third. The wrong team was ranked. Granted, it's the first game with plenty of soccer to be played, but there are issues for Wes and the ladies to work out.

I agree with your assessment. After the first 6-8 minutes of the game, where it looked pretty even, TCU dominated, and Alabama looked pretty ineffective.

Hopefully they will improve from this performance. The next game is Saturday at North Texas, 7pm CDT.

A nice bounce back win Saturday against a tough Mean Green in Denton, TX. Gianna Paul saved the night with a clutch goal with about 9 minutes to go right after UNT tied it up. I think Coach Hart is still trying to get the right combos out there. Looking forward to watching the home opener Thursday night at 7 CST against North ALA. They are always a tough out.
