I'm very concerned about that, no matter what becomes of this chapter in our history.

Alabama should hand over the reigns to Saban when he retires. IMO, if Alabama slips back into the kind of decision making that led to previous hires, you could really struggle again. To be clear, it takes a lot more than "being Alabama" to wins championships in this era. You need the right head coach.

Indeed. Nothing is owed to us; nothing is guaranteed. I'm not into making men into gods, but Nick Saban is the best thing that's happened to this University maybe since Coach Bryant. (I think you can place Mal Moore in that category too). What we've had at Alabama takes good people making good decisions and following through with those decisions - just like any company or organization.

i was in TX a few weeks ago for a conference and it seems like you can't go 5 minutes without being told how this thing or that is the "biggest or "largest" or "oldest" or simply "best." it seems texans have a very big opinion of themselves.

I live in Texas and I agree with what you have said. The word is ARROGANCE!

It's enough to make me want to return to God's country: i.e. Alabama!

You know no one can force Saban to do anything he doesn't want to. I've seen no proof that Battle has refused to give the man anything he asked or even he's part of the reason Saban would leave. Tide-HSV posted earlier that this didn't involve Battle. Has there been something surfaced that I have missed or is it all conjecture?

To me, this all seems to be speculation from Krazy3 that you have ran with.

I agree with Savanah Dare either way l just want this to be done. This is not good for the team's focus on the Sugar Bowl nor recruiting, even though I realize Saban has been on the trail hard.

I guess that people are just looking for someone to blame if things don't go our way.

We've had Wade, Thomas, Bryant, Stallings, and Saban. We will have others who will also be just as effective. If you are a good Coach, you can win at Bama. Let's see, how many coaches have won NC's at Bama? Five. Maybe by 2100, we'll have five more on that list.

Don't get me wrong, I hope CNS coaches at Alabama until he hangs up the dry erase board for good, but this constant speculation is getting old. One way or the other, I'm ready to move forward.
