Sports question

Currently playing in a slow-pitch softball league....I'm an excellent batter but with flight restricted balls, it's tough. Any experienced person/persons give me any tips/ideas on getting that mushy softball to dance ?

(don't tell me to get a miken bat.... we have a LOOOOOONG list of banned bats)

1) step into each swing with a nice gliding motion.

2) don't push the bat with your right arm. pull the bat with your left (this is if you swing from right to left) a lot of people mistakenly try to push the bat. it is best to pull the bat into the ball with your front arm whichever it may be.

Are you guys using 44 core balls? That's what we use.

The toughest part for me was to get rid of my baseball swing. I lead off and don't even bother trying to hit for power. I try to place it in the gaps in the outfield. I've seen guys my size that can hit it out, though, and their secret seems to be bat speed. A big guy can muscle it out without much bat speed, but us smaller guys need good swings with good speed.

Open your hips up - that's where a lot of your power will come in.

That's it, in other words, put some a$$ into it. You generate so much power from your waist down. Same thing in hitting a golf ball too.
