Sportsnetwork 1st Game CBS 3:30?

Just got this info from another board. Sportsnetwork.com showing Bama's 1st game on CBS @ 3:30 ET. Anyone know if this is official? Sure hope so, would be much better than an 11:30 scorcher and give us a little tailgating time.

I don't know about that. As far as I know the game has already been penciled in as either a 11:30 LF telecast or a 6:00 PPV game. Here is a link to CBS' current program schedule. As of now they don't plan to show any games at all on the first two weeks of the season. Their first game is Florida vs. Tennessee on Sept. 15th.

And this is from the cbs website. so from what i've heard its still between LF and pay per view, and they said that we wont have an answer until the 15th....so i dont buy it.

Thanks for the feedback. I just got a little excited hoping a time had been set. Sure hope it's on PPV at 6pm. I think the FSU game will probably be a mid afternooner.

Although I highly doubt it, it would be absolutely amazing if the Alabama-Western Carolina game was a national telecast on CBS.

Think about it... How many national top tier programs have had their weakest OOC game be televised on a national television network......none!

Again I highly doubt it, but I like imagining the faces of Auburn/Florida/Tennesse/LSU fans upon the announcement. Hell I bet Vandy fans would get upset considering they cannot buy their way onto CBS, which is a shame..

Isn't this the same weekend as the US Open (tennis) and if that is the case CBS won't be showing football at all that weekend.

I hope you're right since I have tix but no hotel room-but everyone here in Tallahassee seems to think it will be a night game either on ABC or ESPN.
