O'Charley's has a steak out right now that has a delicious seasoning on the top. Longhorn's has the same basic thing -- they call it "prairie dust". Any idea what it is?

I found this on another web site:

Here is what is on the bag: Prairie Dust # 11-4970-01 This product consists of salt, spices, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and not more than 2% soybean oil & silicon dioxide added to prevent caking. Kosher product Net Weight 1.0 LB IFS Internation Food Solutions Corona Ca 92881 Germantown, WI 53022 Now here is the solution that I tried: 2Tbl Onion powder 2Tbl Garlic Powder 1Tbl Seasoned salt 1/2 tsps paprika It's pretty close but no cigar!

CnW did better than I did with my search. I found Pixie Dust, Angle Dust, and Dust Bunnies under the bed, but no Prarie Dust. :D

Wow -- thanks!

The one from O'Charley's has something spicey in it ... not sure what it is. Think they call it a Louisiana seasoning.

CnW: Wonder if this would be close?

That could be. Some of the same ingredients I see. Do you think the Louisiana seasoning could be Cajun or Creole seasoning. I use both on grilled chicken.

You know, now that I think about it ... it's possible that the Louisiana seasoning might just be a rub & not something that's sprinkled on the steak. :conf2:

Ok, at least I was close -- it's a rub -- but with Southwestern seasonings.

"The Santa Fe sirloin features three sirloin steak medallions rubbed with a secret blend of Southwestern seasoning before grilling. It's topped with crispy onion pieces and served with choice of soup or salad and a side item. Cost is $12.99. "
