No, I am still angry at him for not making it over 100 - 0 like they could have made it had they wanted to. His team actually quit even trying late in the 3rd quarter.

He took over a program coming off probation, a program on the bottom during the 90's, and in two years he coached them to a NC. They have won , won, won under his coaching. He's earned it! We would do the same for our coach, if he had accomplished the same feat and we will when he does!

It is getting out of hand but if Shula gave us a National Title, 2 more appearences for one, several SEC Titles....would you not want to give him this money?

The difference between Stoops and Shula though is that Oklahoma had been off of probation for about a decade before Stoops took over. The other coach had just been unable to do anything with the talent they had.

What's out of hand is trying to compete with schools like Texas, AtM, etc. Those folks have huge budgets that we can't compete with, so when we have a coach that can get it done, we have to make sure we keep him around.

I feel really old now. I remember when top head coaches made less than $100,000. Heck, I rember when $.59 bought the big bag of chips.
