Game Thread: Sugar Bowl (ND vs UGA) (ESPN | Jan 2 at 3pm CST)

I am surprised. Beef up security and clear the stadium for threats, but postponing the game is what terrorism is about - using violence to instill fear and disrupt lives.

Bourbon Street isn’t that particularly close to the Dome. But I think it might be more be about the use of Bourbon Street as the after party location.

I am thinking there is something more not getting reported. They literally went from an hour ago saying they were on schedule to 24 minutes ago postponing.
I don't see any major news outlets reporting it as postponed

Well without getting too NS… it’s a federal issue once it’s deemed terrorism. So I’m thinking the FBI and the fed pretty much told them or strongly advised them to do it.

Still not reported as postponed anywhere.

Officially postponed for 24 hours until tomorrow night.
Edit: I assume tomorrow night because the statement said “24 hours”. I’m sure much of this will be determined by the universities and ESPN.

I understand the reasoning behind a "do not cave" stance on this. At the same time, I know many probably wish it could be cancelled. Obviously, that's impossible but, wow...how sickening.
If I had not had to go pick up some drugs at CVS, I would not have even known about it. Not one mention on the nonsports board.
