I have to say I'm VERY SURPRISED. I wonder if it was a 'forced' resignation.

I think MSU will have trouble hiring a name coach.

Bulldog fans already saying Chris Petersen is on his way.
2 mil for Peterson and 6 mil for a TV. Obviously they used their endowments to buy oil futures short.
Seriously, I am shocked. Something had to be in the works for this to happen so quickly. Cannot see Sly giving up so quickly after that disaster yesterday, unless situation at moo-u west is completely hopeless.

CrimsonAudio you stole what I was going to say. In all honesty, why this year? I don't see very many good coaches on the market this season. I would love to have Croom come coach our RB's, lol. No, I think Croom has shown how honorable he is by stepping down, and not being forced. This saves Miss. St. the wrath of the media.

So you don't beat Alabama, you're forced to resign? They had a rough season, but it was just one. Is that a bad omen for Tubby? Maybe Sly will give up Head Coaching and come join Team Saban...but then again, I think Saban's staff is solid right now!

That's why I think he is the one that initiated the resignation. Good luck Sly wherever you may go!

I don't know that Sly would be welcome at UA, not now.
