For me it is refreshing to see a young man with his priorities as God, Family, Academics, and Football, in that order.

No. I just thought his speech thanking his players, his family, his faith, and his competitors was anything but creepy.

I think Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton need to have an investigation into the voters. Seems like pure racism to me.

All kidding aside, Colt Brennan is the one who got robbed. He is the best QB in America, hands down. The only reason Tebow ended up with the numbers he did is because he is a ball hog. I'll bet it will be hell on the Gator recruiters to get a quality RB as long as Tebow is around.

How so? His QB rating and passing efficiency numbers are almost exactly the same as Tebow's and he played against FAR easier defenses than Tebow did.

It's like comparing a QB from a * high school verses one from a ***** high school.

IOW, they got it right.

I don't understand all of you who say DMac got robbed? Tebow RUSHED for more TD's than Darren Mc. who is a RUNNINGBACK and on top of that threw for like 30 TD's in the SAME CONFERENCE. Its not like he played in a weak conference and people say he is a system QB? Did anyone watch the LSU game?? DMAC got like 75% of the snaps as a runningback. How is that not a RB system?? Come on, too many people her are sour because Tebow went to Florida and not to Bama. There is no way that anyone who puts up those kind of numbers in the SEC shouldn't get the Heisman. Period.

Couldn't agree more. DMc is definitely an outstanding player. Had he won it, I would say he certainly deserved it; however, to say he was robbed is to say that Tebow did not deserve it. That is just ludicrous. Both are outstanding players and the voters couldn't go wrong with either of them.

Personally, I think the voters got it right this time. I just hope Tebow doesn't fall to the "Heisman jinx." SEC must dominate the Big11 in the bowl games.

GLet me say this (I know some of you will rip this statement) I am proud, in a way, that UA does not have a Heisman winner. In the past the focus was on team play and not individual play. I hope that tradition continues.

Just the fact that he exceeded the enormous hype is incredible enough. I'm not very religious but it does seem like his faith has helped him handle the high expectations while staying so grounded, reminds me a lot of Shaun Alexander. Both have enormous god given talent that training doesn't provide.

I'm sure Tebow's comments were from his heart and were not intended to make anyone uncomfortable. However, I am glad that a young man of his talents has the courage to give his Christian testimony, no matter what some may think.
