Throw in a psycho for a HC and voila! LSU 2012!

I'd be shocked if they beat USCe. Possible LSU wins but not probable unless Mett and the receivers suddenly undergo some sort of voodoo inspired transformation. :eek2:

But, there are three things that are working in LSUs favor...

1. Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium
2. Spurrier is at his worst when he's over confident.....and I have a feeling his confidence is sky high.....
3. This is still USCe we are talking about.....

I just have feeling LSU gets up (special teams, or bag-o-tricks stuff) -- and hold on to win by 10

Spurrier spent the great part of the 1990s being overconfident and it worked out fine for him. I think the bigger problem is more of a South Carolina culture thing. They aren't use to winning the kind of games Spurrier has been able to get for them. The fans start going a little over the top and I think the players get caught up in it.

Three things:

1. 2012 SCar is not 1990s UF
2. It's Saturday night in Baton Rouge
3. This is SCar we are talking about.....

Agree, I think this is USC's biggest enemy Saturday.

I agree. This a huge trap game for the Gamecocks, and playing in Red Stick at night makes it so much more so. Visor Boy can prepare for LSU and pull out a win, or he can transfer his over-confidence to the team and lose a big one. I predict the latter.
LSU 24 USCe 17

In the Battle of the Hats, I think the Tigahs squeak by something like 20-17, maybe in OT. Steve Superior will go through about 3 visors before the final whistle.

Until I see LSU actually get up for a game a play anywhere near what they're capable of, I'm not buying this 'night game in death valley' stuff. Maybe in previous years but right now this LSU squad looks broken. They may surprise me tonight but hyped or not, I don't know that their offense will have any answers for USCe's D.

I believe if SC scores 17 (or more) they win. I just don't think that LSU can muster the offense, not buying Mettenberger until he proves something.

SOS is 11-3 against LSU, of course 2 of those losses came at USC. Based on how the 2 teams have played up to this point I think USC would be the favorite at a neutral site, but the combination of USC's unstoried history and playing in BR at nite is why LSU is favored. If Gamecocks handle pressure and play to their abilities they should win. If they chole like they did 2 years ago against KY then LSU wins.

I want LSU to win but from what I have seen this game may very well be an identical repeat of the Jawga game. ll this Mettbogger hype just ain't do & the receivers have hands of stone. Defense of LSU is Nothing like LY. Spurrier knows this has to be his year.
