I want to thank any of you that were at the Tennessee game. This was my first home game. I live in Oklahoma City. Everyone I met, in stores, restaurants or just on the street in Tuscaloosa was friendly and helpful. We came in Thursday and left Monday so that we had plenty of time to see the Bryant Museum and just wander the campus. I am somewhat disabled and the staff at the stadium were amazingly helpful, caring people. I don't have his name but I especially want to thank the gentleman who helped me with the few stairs I had to deal with. The game was more than I had hoped. We were in the end of the stadium where Bama held Tennessee, seriously 100.588 decibels. My friend, the hearing specialist, said the ringing in my ears will eventually subside. Face it, any win over Tennessee is good, a win with that kind of stop is unforgettable. I got to see Joe Namath, that was worth the trip. My wife attempted to wear out her camera so we have pictures of everything. As I said, we live in OK. My wife and I go to lunch each Saturday during season to Chili's (Sports Bar/Restaurant). Everyone in the place is wearing OU or OKState clothes. I stand out and get strange looks with my Bama shirt and houndstooth ballcap. It felt great to blend in, to not get an odd look for saying "Roll Tide". I've become long winded but again thank you to the fans, the staff of the university and the city.

Glad you had a great time, must have been special to be with so many like minded fans for once LOL. I applaud you wearingthe Bama gear in hostile territory in OK. I must say I was at BDS when Shula choked the game on fake punt to Oklahoma. But I met many OK fans and by far they were gracious and nice. Had a blast with them. They all told me they had a great timein Tuscaloosa and were all treated very well. I loved hearing that from opposing fans. It is, after all, a game and everyone should have a good time, period.

I am so glad to hear this. We have some of the best folks on the planet in T-Town on gamedays. With that said like anywhere else, we can also have some of the worst like those who fight in the stands. I was there also after not being able to go in years. I had a good time also.

The only fight I saw was to see who lit their cigar first...

The only thing orange allowed within 100 feet of my place is a pumpkin on halloween. I hope for kids to kick it in LOL.

Loved this post. Every single word. "Roll Tide" brother....

Living in LSU Country, I feel your pain. I wear a Bama Shirt everyday in November every year. And have for the past few years. ;)
