The 2012 Defensive Backfield - Primed for Glory or Ready for Heartbreak?

Things are never as bad as our detractors say. Not a bad article, it's a question in everybody's mind of how will they perform. I think the last line says it all, "I wouldn't want to bet against them". I'm not as concerned this year as I was in 2010 with some of those guys stepping up and taking a leadership role.

Larry, good read. You said Dixon could back up Menzie and Belue, I thought Menzie was gone? Maybe I did not read it right.

Duh.... I guess I had one of those brain farts and didn't catch it in the proofing,,, of course I meant Milliner not Menzie, I just had the wrong M on the brain late at night.... (G).... Thanks for the catch and I fixed it...

Larry

unless i am mistaken there are a few other errors.

1. John Fulton i thought was a junior not a sophomore
2. Jabriel Washington is not a true freshman, he has already red shirted.

MUCH BETTER!!!!
Your writing is shaping up nicely for spelling, punctuation, capitalization, etc, etc. etc.... Just need to work on the facts a little more now.;)

in 2010 we were replacing 5 starters in the d. backfield, also menzie, the jc transfer that was supposed to be the immediate fill in, got hurt. this year, we have lester back at S, plus Dee is not considered a returning starter, but he IS a returning two year starter. we don't have the experience we had last year, but last year was an anomaly. this year we have a good mix and still have quality talent. they may not be as good as last year, but we may not ever see that again.

Hey, you're absolutely right! (G)... I just got back from Vegas, (and I'll have a story about that so I can write off that trip!) and there were about 20 private emails wondering about the d backs and groggy and tired I pumped that out.... It's hell to work the high wire without a net... (G) Just shot that out from memory, but after a week of late nights, rum and hiking the strip, I should have known better than to work without a net, uh, I mean any notes... (G)

There's no nets in Vegas.

Would your notes include anything on best backpedals? Lateral cuts? Vision? Wingspans? Ball flight? You know,,, DB stuff.

Looks to me like we're going to have to conduct a TideFans clinic on fact-checking, and proof-reading for spelling and grammatical errors.

Come on, Larry. This is a smart crowd here. You're going to have to set that bar a lot higher if you want this lot to click on your write-ups. :)

LOL,,, No I think it had more to do with a jet lagged, rum induced, late night idea that I didn't think could wait! (G)
