Things are never as bad as our detractors say. Not a bad article, it's a question in everybody's mind of how will they perform. I think the last line says it all, "I wouldn't want to bet against them". I'm not as concerned this year as I was in 2010 with some of those guys stepping up and taking a leadership role.

in 2010 we were replacing 5 starters in the d. backfield, also menzie, the jc transfer that was supposed to be the immediate fill in, got hurt. this year, we have lester back at S, plus Dee is not considered a returning starter, but he IS a returning two year starter. we don't have the experience we had last year, but last year was an anomaly. this year we have a good mix and still have quality talent. they may not be as good as last year, but we may not ever see that again.

I did and posted it on LBN...... didn't catch the miscues, but I thought it was a great article. My take is, we're flying under the radar, concerning the D backfield, and I like it that way!

we are at the point where the worst case scenario is having a pass defense outside the top 10..thats as much heartbreak as we will see. Coach Saban is a mastermind coaching the secondary.
