The more I think about this game, I just can’t imagine that OSU is going to be able to slow us down enough. We average 48 point a game, which is astounding, but we average over 28 points a game in the first half.

All season, we have gotten less aggressive in the 2nd half by burning clock, getting run heavy, and putting in the backups when possible. I just don’t see us doing that Monday, and we will maintain our aggressiveness the entire game.

I think the Florida game made us realize we can’t get comfortable with a three score lead against a potent offense, and it almost cost us. We knew ND wasn’t capable of doing enough offensively.

I don’t think it will be a comfortable win, but I think it will be similar to our loss to LSU last year only in our favor. We jump ahead, but they stay in and fight and chip away.

Togiai is playing for OSU and will be by far the best individual defensive performer Bama will face all season.
I suppose OSU will not face the best CB, possibly 2 best WRs( if waddle plays),RB(depends if you see Najee over Etienne),and OL unit as a whole they've played all year... I mean togiai is a great player but if you really go back and watch the game its not like OSU was in the backfield in Trevors face every play you had to bring a blitz most times to get to him. Only bringing 4 he had plenty of time to get the ball out. If you try to blitz Mac he is really slick at seeing the blitz and attacking it or throwing it away(most of time at najees feet). The biggest thing I really saw from Togiai is he demands a double block(which is big no doubt) and if you run at him he will shed the block at the line to make the tackle. We won't be able to run right at him that's for sure. This is not to say togiai isn't going to be the best DL player we face all year but its not like he will single handily shut down our offense.
The biggest threat I see to Alabama is we have to slow sermon down and force fields to beat us with his arm(he can but I feel like we will have to play man and take our lumps) we can't let sermon get them into 3rd and short all night we need to stop him for a few 1-2 yard gains(going to be very hard) and try to get OSU in 3rd and long situations.
We need the defense to force 3-5 punt or FG situations at the least. That to me will be the key to Alabama winning or losing. If we can't stop sermon it will be a shootout and last team to get the ball might just win.

OSU fans told me he graded out higher by PFF than any one in the country recently.
Actually, we have another DT with better PFF grades, but the eye test says that Tommy is better by a mile.

So, just checked and here are the PFF grades for our best defensive players. Turns out that Tommy is rated higher than Tyreke:
  1. Tommy Togiai: 85.9
  2. Tyreke Smith: 85.8
  3. Jonathon Cooper: 84.5
  4. Justin Hilliard: 70.6
  5. Lathan Ransom: 68.7

So - I missed Haskell Garrett - brain cramp - he is ranked higher (91.4) and he is not as good as Tommy.

But you can see - our best defenders are all D-linemen

To add some context, Dickerson and Leatherwood both earned 91.3 grades.

And before anyone comes up here and wants to throw 2014 out here or how mistreated Ohio state is and how they are the underdogs. I know how good Ohio state is. Most bama fans here know the kind of talent they have. Ohio state acts confident and they should they are a great team. My issue is Ohio state fans needing to beat there chest and get upset when no one immediately crowns them national champion and how you need to put “THE” infront of their name and in the same breath complains about how overlooked they are how and mistreated they are.

Anyone doing that on TideFans?
