The Championship is Set... Bama vs Ohio St. What are your initial thoughts?

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

Couple of banned Ohio state posters and everything spewed by eleven warriors.com
Agreed about 11W - no way an Alabama fan would be anything by disgusted if they read the forums or comments right now. The articles are pretty level headed, if slanted. But the posters at 11W are acting like children.

Did Waddle get off the airplane quickly or slowly?
Saw some footage of him boarding the bus and it appeared he was favoring the injured ankle.

Memories of Barrett Jones in a walking boot prior to the 2013 NCG?

From everything I'm hearing, am thinking that, if he sees the field, it will be primarily as a decoy...

i want everyone to understand I respect Ohio state but I hate comments like “if Ohio states player x plays it’s over done deal” I don’t think it’s a slam dunk that if jalen waddle plays bama is automatically gonna win and I did read an Ohio state poster say that in another thread. I hate comments like that. It’s miserably short sighted.

In a few days we will wish for this type of excitement again, and it won't come for too long.

I am not gonna come out and say I like Ohio state. But I respect their accomplishments. I respect that other than 2011 it seems like they are incapable of fielding bad teams. I respect the fact that it seems like they never get a bad coach to me that’s astonishing.

I believe this game may be an Offensive shoot out.
He who makes the least mistakes takes home the trophy.
THERE WON'T BE ANY ' TAKING YOUR FOOT OFF THE PEDAL TOMORROW, BY EITHER TEAM'.
ROLLTIDEROLL
BAMA WINS A CLOSE ONE.
...

Guess I was wrong. Alabama won it easily. 52-24

This may turn out to be a lower scoring game than we think. Lots of running plays and tight-end action. State will try and eat clock. We shall see. RTR

You're right that no single player is make-or-break. The issue with the OSU DL, and in particular, Togiai, is that his absence would take one of the very few areas where the OSU D might have an advantage (particularly with Dickerson out), and turn it into a possible vulnerability. With Togiai, I'm not real optimistic about the OSU D's prospects for getting a handful of stops against the Alabama offense. Without him, the prospect is diminished. Perhaps not fatally, but definitely diminished.

I don’t like them at all but I can say I definitely respect them. You’re right they just don’t stop. They are seemingly always good.
