I’ll go one further. The amount of defensive holding that Vandy got away with was ridiculous. On the TD pass to Williams, Cuevas was the primary receiver underneath coming across. The DB had him by his jersey pulling him back.

On completion to Germie, the DB had a handful of his jersey as he broke away to make the catch.

Then they had the audacity to call defensive holding on Mincey on the ball he picked late that would have put the game on ice?

Ridiculous.
The funny one was the handful of jersey the DB had in his hands after he held Germie

Good: Jam and the run game got going. Defense showed up in some big moments. Ty made some big plays and continues to impress. Horton probably deserves more targets but our WRs are elite in general

Bad: Grubb had some bad play calling in some big moments, we probably should have won by more. Ty needs to learn when to give up on a play.

Ugly: All that Vandy trash talk/practicing kneel down pre game and Manziel being on the sideline.
This might make you feel better. Ty called himself out after the game and said the same thing you did about needing to learn when to give up on a play. The dude is a leader.

G- We won a tough game that started poorly. We made adjustments and kept playing hard.
B- Did I mention that we started poorly? We made a few costly mistakes early that allowed them to grab the lead.
U- I wish more people in our society demonstrated class these days. I wish folks would be respectful and treat others like they would like to be treated.

Great game all around. We didn’t fold when they scored early and had the possession advantage.

Defense pulling it together.

Offense will be lethal if we can keep hitting on all cylinders.

Bad: ongoing nod to the zebras and pavia is a punk.

Good- Ty, Jam, K. Riley, the O-Line, and Defensive shut out of Vandy in the second half. All of the receivers and tight ends.

Bad- Missed field goal. Grubb over thinking when Vandy’s D was sucking wind in the fourth quarter. Run the ball!

Ugly - Pavia’s mouth writing a check his arm and behind could not cash! Pavia said, “if we play our game, it won’t be close”.

Good: Bama didn't quit when things didn't go their way. Ty got better and was completely dialed in near the half. Running game improved as the game went on. Our defense completely shut down Pavia & co in the 2nd half. Also, I have to give a lot of credit to Vandy's defense. They're the main reason this team has improved over last year, not Pavia.

Bad: The interception to start the game. Some play calls seem weird at times. Kicking and punting parts of special teams must improve.

Ugly: NIL era. Pavia is a trashy player. Never thought I'd ever say that about a Vandy player. In the past, I might have been more embarrassed about our fans talking trash to players but they are now professionals and when you do childish things like practicing mercy knees, talking the talk but don't back it up, you end up getting dumped on by everybody. Instead of jawing back at drunk fans, when things like that happen, you have to ask yourself what is my part in all this? Seems the culture today doesn't understand that.

The real question, it was 4th and 1? How did Vandy play that tight downfield on 4th and 1? Was the play tipped off? Film study?

I’m leaning towards execution. Someone with more experience can put me in my place if I’m wrong.

Alabama runs that two man mesh a lot, where the routes intersect and diverge at different points. Vandy had one guy guarding two until Horton went to the inside downfield. I think if Cuevas shortens his corner route by five yards and cuts in front of the defender the defender has to choose to follow him or Horton, thus leaving one open enough for the throw. Going beyond the defender allowed one to cover two until the safety was close enough to make a play on Horton.

We got no breaks from the stripes, that's for sure...
Another thing that irritated me was that the announcers didn’t press the issue on the defensive holding call to see if they could find it.

I can imagine that Gary Danielson — if the call was against a Bama opponent, at least — would have spent the rest of the game replaying it if there was nothing to see.

Pavia saved Clark Lee’s job by playing like he has. However, the lack of discipline and the things that he’s allowed to happen within that program, may ultimately lead to its demise. Having “Johnny Football” parading around with your program isn’t a good thing. Also, while watching Miami last night, that place is about to return to its all out thug past.

Good - Ty's leadership, the D making some adjustments, the crowd was very loud on TV so I hope it was even louder in the stadium, CNS saying it was a revenge game on Game Day. Didn't he always say it wasn't when he was coaching because it wasn't the same team? LOL

Bad - missed FG attempt. Isn't the placekicker also the FG kicker? Goodness, he kicked touchbacks all day long. Special teams still need lots of work. Still need to wrap up on tackles, too.

Ugly - Pavia. What a jerk. He can play, but his cockiness is really a detriment to him. That's what you get hanging out with Johnny Football. Someone needs to coach him on his mouth and emotions particularly with opposing fans. I hope he doesn't win his 7th year case.

Refs may not be as competent because of instant replay. Just a thought but can't imagine a game without replay especially on critical plays. I do not understand targeting if that was not targeting as shown on the replay.

The Good: Coach Kalen DeBoer’s post game press conference comments. CKD seemed more confident and composed a good sign of leadership and trust in the team.

The Bad: The SEC refs. Enough said.

The Ugly: Some of our own fans conceding defeat in the game thread during the first half. Gotta have a little more faith, folks — the game isn’t over until it’s over.

The Good: The Revenge Tour is still alive and well. It was great to see the running game get some traction and the defense crank it up with 2nd Half adjustments.

The Bad: Watching those Vandy knuckleheads act like they were world beaters when they scored.

The Ugly: Would somebody please tell the Student body that NOBODY cares about "LNK" fingers on TV Coverage anymore. That is one fad we should all be glad to see fade away from our memories.
To quote an old SNL Bit "Because I'm a Grumpy OLD MAN!" 😜
