I can see it now. They would have Chris Matthews judging Trump's polygraph results and Loretta Lynch judging Hillary's.

Hillary is going to feel right at home here in Philly next week.

It's where congressmen and other elected officials were caught taking illicit cash payments in the Abscam sting operation in the 1970s. During that investigation, then-Rep. Michael "Ozzie" Myers was caught on tape, saying: "Money talks in this business and bull---- walks."

In June, a longtime Philadelphia congressman, Chaka Fattah, was convicted of laundering federal grants and nonprofit funds to repay an illegal $1 million campaign loan and help family and friends.-Last year, former state Treasurer Rob McCord left office and pleaded guilty to attempted extortion in a campaign fundraising scandal.

They're going through Harrisburg on the way to Philly from Cleveland. Some of you may not know about this one, but it's one of the wildest political occurrences ever seen on television:

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 22, 1987— R. Budd Dwyer, the Pennsylvania State Treasurer, whose conviction for bribery last month jolted the state's Republican Party, shot and killed himself today at a news conference in his office in Harrisburg, the state capital.

For half an hour he protested that he was innocent and criticized some people who had been connected with his conviction, and included news organizations that had reported it.

Then, red-faced and sweating, Mr. Dwyer drew a .357 Magnum revolver from a manila envelope. He warned everyone to stay away to avoid being hurt. Several reporters ducked for cover. Others tried to dissuade him.

Before anyone could reach Mr. Dwyer, he put the barrel of the pistol in his mouth and pulled the trigger. He was pronounced dead half an hour later, at 11:31 A.M

The suicide is on You Tube, but I'm not going to link it. The REAL tragedy in all of it is that Dwyer in fact WAS innocent, and the star witness against him later admitted to lying.

See, Bill Clinton was having folks 'commit suicide' back in 1987!!!

Thanks in part to this candidate with all the "experience," most notably her Presidential asset of "extreme carelessness," even "Little Timmy" can now search her emails.

Good thing nobody is interested in them or there might be a problem.

Are you suggesting that the American electorate may be lazy, willfully ignorant, and in lock step with their own fantasies of what makes good governance ??
We vote and campaign for our own biases and to heck with anyone who disagrees. The mob wins elections and the winners write our history to their liking.

We vote and campaign for our own biases and to heck with anyone who disagrees. The mob wins elections and the winners write our history to their liking.

The problem is that the two-party system sets it up. About 40% of the electorate will vote for any Democrat you put up there, even if it was the Second Coming of Hitler; same with the GOP and about 40% as well. The fight is over the other 20%.

This ensures that candidates with years working the inner workings of the party always have a distinct advantage, particularly where money is concerned. And you can't run a campaign without money, plain and simple. Hillary gets money on the basis of her last name just as happens with the connected big-wigs all over. Trump is unique only because he (supposedly) has his own pile of cash sitting back in a safe somewhere. Other candidates who might have better ideas or be better qualified to actually serve in the office have NO CHANCE WHATSOEVER.

Obama was a good candidate but guess what? He beat Hillary as much because of MONEY as anything else. In April 2007, Clinton had $26 million on hand.....but Obama had $25 million, meaning he could BUY organization and actually COMPETE. He's a better candidate BY FAR than she is, but without that infusion of cash, she wins that nomination easily. Hillary was so desperate at that point - and realized that once Obama was in the ballgame he was going to have an easier time raising money - that she took $10 million from he Senate funds so she could give the illusion she was 'really' way ahead of him and keep the bucks coming.

The route to the Presidency that gave us Carter and Reagan - whatever one thinks of those two - is gone. Starting with Dukakis pocketing so much of the money from his Greek rich friend network in 1988, the candidate who raises the most money has won every time EXCEPT this year......and Trump presumably had money to burn so he was unaffected by fundraising.

In other words, our system now gives us two choices for candidates: the self-financed ones, who tend to be successful in business but naive about almost everything else, and the bought and paid for ones by (mostly) corporations, who donate to both sides.

And we have lazy voters who like high school seniors vote for the girl with the biggest.......because she's 'hot,' regardless of her IQ of 19.

And from that article:
At the conference, according to some who attended it, Mr. Dwyer made a long, rambling statement. He criticized Acting United States Attorney James West, who prosecuted him;

And James West who was a republican who prosecuted a republican (Imagine a democrat doing that to another democrat), well for James West, no good deed goes unpunished.

West Penalized For Cta Success, Sources Say

I just saw HiLIARy's America today. It's a must see for every American. Get your heads out of the corrupt sand.

I don't see how any American Black person or any American Indian could vote for a Democrat. 150+ years of CORRUPTION! Why do we have inner-city ghettos? Answer: the Democratic Party.

Please go see this movie with open EYES, EARS and an open mind. By the way, D'nesh D'Souza can't even vote in the 2016 Presidential election as a result of corruption of the Democratic Party. And HiLIARy is the most CORRUPT presidential candidate in our history.

This is indeed a sad day for ValuJet. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is resigning as Chairman of the DNC.

In other news Malik Obama says he supports Trump! He lives in Kenyan but we were going to let him vote over here a few times. Not now!! Sorry Malik.

Maybe you can get the guy that fell out of the landing aicraft's wheel well into the rooftop A/C unit (in the Kerry/very bad A/C units/ISIS thread) for a few votes...he's in Great Britain, so he could probably vote absentee...

However, she went quickly from the DP payroll to the Clinton payroll. She's probably getting a huge raise. Her job description: do the same as in the previous job just don't get caught e-mail anything or saying anything negative about HER or ...

This doesn't bode well on so many levels...

Federal investigators tried to warn the Democratic National Committee about a potential intrusion in their computer network months before the party moved to try to fix the problem, US officials briefed on the probe tell CNN.

The revelation raises questions about whether the DNC could have done more to limit the damage done by hackers suspected of working for Russian intelligence.

The DNC brought in consultants from the private security firm CrowdStrike in April. And by the time suspected Russian hackers were kicked out of the DNC network in June, the hackers had been inside for about a year.
A person briefed on the DNC's response says the warning from the FBI and other agencies wasn't specific, and that the extent of the problem wasn't clear when the initial warnings came.

It isn't what the SPECIFICS are, because people don't take those in. Another email problem on top of her server issue ("extremely careless") doesn't help matters is all I'm saying. It's pretty difficult to argue "the other guy is an unacceptable risk to national security" when you have something like this happen. People will easily conflate the stories.
