The media pretty much has us getting beat by UF. I think they are doing us a favor. The players understand what is being said and I think they will use it as motivation. Count me as one who is a little sensitive about Bama being dismissed as a real contender but at the same time I think it might be just what our team needs. Bama has a history of playing at a different level in these types of games.

Well yeah, I mean have you seen them play, they're tough. We should be proud to step on the same field with mighty Florida, much less win the game outright. Tebow and Harvin are an unstoppable duo that will run roughshod over our small, but slow defense. We will put up a valiant, but futile effort and wish them well in their pursuit of the national championship.

I think you're absolutely right. I have noticed we've been pretty much given up for dead by the media although still undefeated. Every media quote is bulletin board material you can't buy at any price.

Yeah, and i heard Lou (granny clampett) Holtz say after the game that Oklahoma or Texas would be in title game against Fla.
Like '92, we get no respect. We must be the Rodney Dangerfield of college football.:mad2:

When you look back, you can see that the whole history of Alabama football has been this way. Few if any of our great teams got much respect from the national media during the regular season. This goes all the way back to our first NC in 1925, when nobody gave Wallace Wade's team a chance against Washington in the Rose Bowl.

One of the guys on College Sports South picked Florida by at least four touchdowns.
Priceless stuff.

1992 and Miami all over again.

That's what I'm thinkin". After Florida's stomp on the Citadel, Tebow made sure to take his successor qb on the victory lap around the field so protege boy could adjust to all of his duties and taste the glory. The Palm Beach Post ventures that it was

Tebow the Magnificent's last time doing that on their home field.

I will be surrounded by Gayters for Thanksgiving. I will just let them bask in the limelight, legend and greatness of themselves and not say a word. Delayed gratification is sweeter that way.

1992 and Miami all over again.

And the 99 UF regular season game in the swamp to go along with the SEC championship game. UT last year. UF when Pro got hurt. UG and the BlackOut. The question is often posed about the identity of this team but I will go one step further and ask "What is the identity of this University"? History has a way of repeating itself. Just saying.

People talk about Florida and their offense and how they look unstoppable. Coach Saban should just call Florida now and give up. Yes Florida has put alot of points up on people this year, so what. ask Clemson, Georgia, LSU and Florida if they had to look at the score board to know they were beat. Are we flashy? NO. Do we have the latest and greatest offenseive scheme? NO. but we will beat the he11 out of them till they say "I QUIT"

The media was fawning all over Texas Tech and their "unstoppable" offense and then look what happened, they got shut down by a good (but not great) defense from Oklahoma. Now they'll move on to Florida and I hope they continue to hype them up and not give us a chance, we'll be ready come Dec. 6th. Defense wins championships.

I honestly couldn't have said this better myself, I'm sick and tired of hearing all ESPN Commentators saying this absolute crap. It's like Alabama doesn't even exist and it'll be another Florida vs. citadel type game, uh.. I'm pretty sure we're #1 for a reason, or are we just in a great dream?

Florida is a good team, but pretty much telling Alabama they shouldn't show up is a big no-no when it comes to huge games, and I believe there is no better example than the '92 national championship. They are treating Alabama the same way they did in '92 and I believe it is a huge mistake on their part.

Have we seen this before???

Florida is good, but what the media never mentions is turnovers and stupid mistakes by the other teams that help inflate the scores. Bama doesn't turn the ball over and make stupid mistakes.

usc 4 turnovers.
uga 4 turnovers and Ritche's stupid onside kick in the 1st quarter.
lsu 3 turnovers and a pick 6. lsu qb (horrid)
uk 1 turnover and 2 blocked punts inside the 20 in the first quarter that resulted in scores without uf even getting a first down.
ark 2 turnovers (ark was down 17-7 going into the 4th before urban poured
on 21 more)
vandy (vandy is vandy)
citadel 3 turnovers and we are talking about citadel.

I can't wait for Bama to play them. The free gifts are over. Bama hasn't played as bad as any of these teams have all year.
