Say what you want about Pearl, but he is probably the best basketball coach that the state of Alabama has ever had. With a win over Houston/ Kentucky next week he will have taken Auburn to a place Alabama has not been in its entire history.... the Final 4.
Back in '98 when Coach Williams was at Kansas, he made recruiting accusations against Coach Donovan regarding Mike Miller - and after 10 months of NCAA investigations - nothing turned up. Williams made up the allegations because he got burned by Donovan. For that reason alone - thank you Auburn!
He can flat out coach for sure. His kids play hard, crash the boards, create steals, block shots, run fast breaks, make free throws, and knock down shots.
I hate admitting it but taking any bias out of it they are fun to watch.

I personally think at this point only Virginia and MSU can stop them. Don’t be surprised if they are cutting the net at the end. This team is for REAL.
Which Auburn Message Board can one go to this fall and openly cheer for Bama during football games? Asking for a friend.
