Plain and Simple...

Let US be the ones to do it....here's my thinking...

Va. Tech/FSU will play and one of them will lose...

We Have to pull for Miami to beat Va Tech and

Texas HAS to lose somewhere along the way

Penn St. will prob lose to Mich St or Wisconsin

That leaves us to beat USC , as fate would have it, to deny USC their 3rd in a row....the team should come out with a "1966" emblem on the jersies in honor of the 1966 team that was denied....

ROLL TIDE!!!!

Kevin

Nope - I'll pull against EVERY team ranked higher than Bama EVERY week until there are none left. There are too many undefeated teams ranked higher than us to do anything else...

Diddo - I could care less who knocks off which team, I just want us in the Rose in the end. Still proud of our team no matter what happens though.

No offense, Kevin.........but Texas doesn't HAVE to lose...... there is virtually no one capable on the remainder of their schedule...the ONLY chance I see for Bama to play for the NC is to get rid of USC now....and hope Miami takes care of VTech and then VTech takes care of FSU later in the championship game of the ACC

What about ND

Notre Dame will jump Bama if they beat USC. The poll keepers will find any way to get ND into the top 5. After winning by 3 Bama will be lucky to stay #6. But I still hope ND pulls an upset. I dont want anyone to do a 3 pete untill we do it first.

Can't worry about that right now. We need every team above us to lose if we want a shot at the Rose Bowl...

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see ND move to #2 behind Texas. You know how the pollsters are when it comes to ND. Just get ready. It will make you mad. :mad2:

I'm just glad that if USC loses they did it this year instead of last. If they lost last year AU would have played OU for the NC. :eek2:

What year(s) did USC when the BCS again? Oh yeah, last year...not the year before. Did everyone brain fart and forget that LSU won the title in 2003 season?

The BCS is the only one that matters now. ANY school that claims otherwise, is a joke to the college football world.

If you start with logic like that, we have to give back a few championships, too. The AP voted USC #1 in 2003, so they won a share of the title - whether we like it or not...

Whoa, the BCS is what matters now. Isn't that why the Rose Bowl is the "target game" of every undefeated team this year? Oh wait, that's only if you get to play in it, otherwise be west coast team and get voted REGARDLESS of Strength of Schedule, POLLS, etc that all were factored into the computations to pick OU and LSU as the top two teams in 2003. LSU went undefeated in the SEC. Oh, I get it now. You are saying the SEC is weaker than the PAC-10. I gotcha. I can't argue with that logic.

And, why would Bama have to give back any titles won before the BCS came around?

To who? Only the coaches agreed to vote with the BCS. The AP poll never did, and both polls have been recognized for many years.

So a bunch of rich men get together and put together a really flawed system and force it down our throats, and you think that it wipes out decades of tradition? Until we have a playoff, I consider the AP poll as legitimate as any other method of determining a champion...

What does the word NOW mean to you? I said, NOW...as in 2003, 2004, or 2005. Anything done BEFORE the BCS has nothing to do with the BCS NOW. There's that word again, NOW....again, NOW...again, NOW....again, NOW.

You and everybody on here know as well as I do...LSU went undefeated in the SEC and played in the BCS title game. A BCS title that didn't just go off on emotions and "vote" a champion. It's a heck of lot more legitimate than the AP is, NOW. There's that word again, NOW....again, NOW...again, NOW....again, NOW.

So, I ask you...where did I ever say I though "BCS wipes out decades of tradition"?

The here and now is reality for here and now...
