Thoughts 5 Days after another title...

Coach Saban has had three 1 loss seasons ..... and won a BCS title all three times! So, here is hoping we lose one game next year! Roll Tide!

He also has one undefeated season and won a BCS title in that one too. The three one-loss seasons always required other teams to lose unexpectedly in order for his team to make it into the championship game. I'd prefer the undefeated route so that there is less luck required.

Really kind of hard to put into words, isn't it? I was a student at Alabama in 1978 and 1979 during Bama's last back-to-back championships and that goal line stand over Penn State still counts, to me, as Bama's greatest single moment in my lifetime.

What Saban has been able to accomplish in his short tenure, though, has been absolutely amazing. Saban hasn't had the luxury of having 140 players on scholarship. Can you imagine how many titles CNS would have if he stayed for 25 years?

I never dared to dream that the glory days would return like this.

This is like the Bulls in the 90s. You knew if they made it to the Finals they were winning it. I'm not sure what to say about. I've never been more happy as a Bama fan, or sports fan. I'm calm though because I want to keep doing it. I never thought this could happen but here we are. Can't wait for more! RTR!!

Since 2008, Saban's record is 61-7. That is almost a 90% winning percentage.
Since 2008, 3 National Championships, 2 SEC Championships, 3 SEC Championship appearances.

Simply AMAZING!

I think I'm most grateful for the Notre Dame element of what Nick Saban has accomplished. We all know Alabama's bill of particulars against the Golden Domers, so I won't rehash all of that. I'll say only that, after the 1/7/13 game, Notre Dame is just another infrequent inter-sectional rival of ours, nothing more or less. I never thought that I would live long enough to witness this state of affairs.

My thoughts; some ND fans were in a fantasy world before the game. Since they hadn't watched any other football games outside of their world or the Big 10, they honestly thought they had this game won before kickoff. Now, the ones I have come in contact with, think we're bad winners. When in reality, they are sore losers or just can't come to gripes with the fact that they lost and lost badly.

I have a friend (a ND fan) that I've know for 30 years and he will not even speak to me any longer because of the game. The ones I have heard on radio talk shows are in complete denial. My response to them, get better or get beat...again.

Roll Tide!
