Thoughts on TSIO (Third Saturday in October)

This team has the ability to blowout whoever they play. It just a matter of whether everyone on the staff and team wants to.

We have a High Ceiling and Low Floor and bounce around between both almost every game on both sides of the ball.

I’m trying for the most part to just watch and hope things get better.

Tenn looks to be similar… High Ceiling and Low Floor.

It feels like a more even matchup this year than any of the recent meetings.

going to miss the game due to college reunion.

didnt miss any during shula franchione era

Even during franchione era I thought the players gave 110% effort .. remember the okl game

The attachment to Bama players has definitely suffered last 3-4 years

Still miss Lane Bearden and Nick Gentry.

Bottom line is this: Wommack has to figure a way to pressure Nico I’mgonnaleaveya. If we rush 3 or 4 and play coverage, it could be a long afternoon.
Based on what we did against South Carolina, I see us sending the house quite a few times. Just be prepared for them to hit their head on the goal post if we don't disguise it well or don't get to him in time.

It would be nice if the offense could sustain some drives with running backs running the ball to take some pressure off of the defense by playing keep-away. Probably crazy talk, but there it is.
I’m certainly not a “3 yards in a cloud of dust” guy, but I do think there plenty of run in our game plan to get better run balance and use some clock ourselves.

I think it comes down to both DL and OL… the defensive line has got to decide whether it will wear pink panties and sunglasses or if they are going to come out and play like men on a mission. They need to play in the UT backfield all afternoon long blowing up running and passing plays.

On the Oline TB, KP and company need to close their pie hole and start walking the walk on the field. They need to decide if they want to play on the next level based on performance or if they will be running the scout team for the Pro teams. Somebody needs to tell these players that they have earned nothing and deserve nothing based on their previous efforts, it’s time they play like men and take the game away from the opponent.

Somebody on this coaching staff needs to stop the Pollyanna crap and get in the heads of these players. You have been hired to produce wins not teach a Sunday school class.

I think we all realize that this team is walking a tight rope in terms of winning or losing this game. There will be absolutely no margin for error. This team could surprise me by coming out and playing like the first half of the UGA game or reverting back to its performance against Vanderbilt. I sadly have no confidence in this team and do not expect it beating Tennessee this Saturday. If I am wrong I will try a new recipe for crow. Roll Tide.

It almost always comes down to the LOS. Also, I think if I see one more silly damn dance in the end zone I’ m going to scream. Gettin’ crotchety in my old age, I guess.

I pulled for the Tide just as hard in the Shula years as I did in the
Saban and Bryant years. If we lose to UT, it hurts. Time for the Tide to roll

Agreed. That is the LAST team I ever want us losing to. Period. Those who live around Auburn fans probably see it differently, but I remember the Dark Ages of the Dubose era, the NCAA, etc...

It's all about getting a balance in the betting, not about who Vegas thinks will win the game.
It's not that simple (or gamblers wouldn't use them):
