Yeah, I'm one of the couple of thousand that didn't secure my tickets for this game. Ever since I moved to Arky I no longer have season tickets. What kills me is seeing some of the prices on Ebay and other sites. I keep seeing student tickets for sale for $150 or more. How is it ok for a student to sell a $5 ticket for $150 or more? It's always said that an athlete cant get any special treatment not afforded to all students but a student can sell his/her ticket on ebay for a large profit. I know... I know......I'm just having ticket depression right now. I guess I will come to the quad and hold up two fingers and hope for the best but expect the worst. If I don't score two then I'll watch it at a tailgate. Either way, Roll Tide and I'll see yall there.

I got my tickets for $150 a piece at the beginning of the year and at the time it seemed high, but right now for lower section E seats, I could get my $300 back, of course I'm going to be there, but I agree it is a shame tickets are so high... What is even worse is I'm on like a 4 year wait for Tide Pride, come on we NEED the expansion, maybe that will knock a year off of my wait :)

I heard of several tickets for $100 - $150 on Friday. My sis saw some for $40 at kickoff.
Thats what I'm hoping for even if it means paying a little more from all the illegal scalping going on in T-Town. On one hand I think they should bust all the illegal scalpers but on the other I'm glad they are there. Talk about walking the fence.

There is no way they can expand the stadium until they get 20/59 fixed. There needs to be 3 lanes all the way from B'ham to T-Town. Interstate traffic on game days is ridiculous.

From what I've heard, the student ticket procedure is changing drastically next year since the University thinks upperclassmen "ripping off" freshman is wrong. No telling why they've just come to this conclusion.
I'm not sure what the procedure is when dealing with students tickets but I seen on Ebay that if you purchased the studen ticket available you would have to contact the University to get it swapped for a seat in the South Endzone couple of days prior to the game. Is this right?

yes you have to pay a fee to convert the ticket to a student guest ticket. And there is no illegal scalping, "Scalping" is legal in Alabama.

no it isn't, ticket scalping is NOT illegal in Alabama, it is "regulated" but not illegal, and for the most part that means "within 300 ft. of the venue" or something like that...

Scalping is legal in Alabama if you have purchased a $100.00 license to do so. So for the average Joe on the street to be selling tickets, it is not legal to do so.

My opinion on the student situation is this on the student section. Students should be the ones in the student section. The ACT Card should be used for admission. Example, say there are 22,000 students, only 15,000 would have the special bar code to allow entry into the stadium. That would leave 7,000 students on the standby entry. They would be allowed to enter at a certain time point before kickoff up until the student section was full. I'm not sure the exact reason for the student guest, but there shouldn't be guest if there are students that are not allowed in the stadium because they do not have tickets. Hope that makes sense.

I agree with you. Sounds like you may have some inside info on what might be in store for the future. If not, send an email to MM.

Thats a horrible idea, i think the best thing to do would get rid of the paper ticket period and have it attached to the ACT card. With your idea you get the same problem that you have at big basketball games, too many people want in, not enough seats. People would be camped out hours before kick off, with pushing and fighting. I wanna know that when i wake up in the morning that i know i have a seat in the student section.
