Those idiots are already talking about the UConn/Syracuse elite 8 game. Maybe we dont deserve the recognition of traditional powers like Kentucky and others on the hardwood, but this year our players are playing with heart and determination.

keep on disrespecting the tide national media and we will keep on ruining your brackets. this team is better than any of the "experts" want to believe.
 
This weekend, I got so sick of listening to the %#@* coming out of the talking heads on ESPN that I finally just stopped watching them. Their bias against southern schools just drives me nuts. Does anyone else hear just want to strangle Dick Vitale and Digger Phelps and put a sock in their mouth?
 
Actually I haven't heard Vitale say anything really negative about us. Bilas needs to be shot, and yeah on around the horn they didn't even mention alabama, they were talking about how uconn had Cuse next. Funny stuff, I'm sure the team will take note.
 
They look like idiots after saying that SIU was going to beat us, then they all said, "No way that Bama beats Stanford!". So I guess if you keep on saying we are going to loose, & we finally do, they can say "I told you so."

What I got real tired of real fast was the fact that they, mostly ESPN, kept talking about how Stanford lost the game and not how Alabama won. Yes, Stanford was #1 and Bama was #8. Yes, Stanford losing was big, but after oh, 10 minutes, can we talk about how Bama won the game and who helped them win and what it means for them as a team? I mean, please, throw us a bone.
 
P on em! I hope they don't throw us a bone. I like being the underdog, and esp'n can stick it in their ear. Man! I want the Tide to win this game more than any so far, just because of the espn idiots. Then they can talk about how we have NO chance against UCONN. I bet Vandy is a little sick of being passed over as well. I hope the Dores beat UConn too. Go Bama, and GO Dores!
 
I don't want to beat Syracuse because of ESPN, I want to be Syracuse because of a group of 8-9 players that have hustled, fought, scrapped all year long......

because I think ES and AP are class acts and deserve it......

I could give a damn if ESPN wants us to win or not.....I'm sure the UCONN/SYRA game is more romantic to espn.....

But.....damn, can you imagine the stories if UA and UAB get into the final four????

OMG.....THAT would be romantic!

I don't mind Dickie V. He may be overly excitable, but there aren't too many people on this planet who know more about college basketball than he does. Digger is a different story. Sometimes I wonder if he is following the same basketball season as the rest of the world. He actaully picked Texas to win the NCAA tournament. Yes, this is the same Texas team that was crushed by OSU in the conference finals. I actually laughed when I heard him say that. Texas is going to get crushed again by Xavier in the Sweet 16. This isn't last year, when Texas had T.J. Ford and actually was an elite team.

You aren't the only ones, I will promise you that....and don't think its an anti-South thing. ESPN's main analysts (Vitale) simply LOVES the ACC. Within 10 minutes of any game he is doing, he will mention the ACC and/or Duke. Its sickening. He is there biggest recruiting tool. At SU we often feel that we get no respect either. And Packer is just a complete shill. The guy will credit no one who is not an ACC member. He went to Wake, and he thinks the ACC is the end all be all of hoops, no one else can compete.

Broadcasting is supposed to be about describing the game, not dominating it. Those two are simply caricatures of themselves......there to promote themselves adn their opinions.

Well sure! Those are the reasons for winning. I should've been precise about my wishes. I hope Bama wins for those same reasons, but I would also like to see all the crap espn has been slinging do an about face and hit them right in the kisser. In other words it would be all that much sweeter, or "romantic". Either way, ROLL TIDE!!!
 
I'll say it again. There are NO EXPERTS left on ESPN. They all showed how little they knew in the first round of the brackets. They all have mad-ons because they got stuck on STUPID.
