Anyone get your email in regards to post game tickets? They gave me availablility to order for the bowl games but not the SEC Championship Game. The guy at the office said it would be split like the Clemson Game, but my application did not give me the ability to order SEC Champ Tix. Also I requested 2 for all the major bowls except for Orange. What r the chances I will even get those tix? Roll Tide
 
Students will enter a lottery to purchase up to 2 tickets for $35/each. Does anyone know what the student allotment will be? Similar to Clemson?

50/50 on the Bowl games depending on your points and who above you want to go....... may not be any left.
I have only 117 Tide Total points so I will put in for 2 to all that I would like to go to but also will try to buy a couple thru each bowl that I REALLY want to go to.
The MNC game for one and the Sugar Bowl but the rest should be easy enough to get through Tide Pride because if we were to lose any of our next games most are not going to want to travel to far to the bowl game (in 99 got Orange Bowl Tickets through tide pride but also bought 2 through the orange bowl ticket office because it was not a sell out) as in the 05 Cotton bowl, 01 Independence bowl and the 97 outback bowl I got two through Tide Pride but was denied 2 tickets to the Music city bowl.
The SEC championship game is a lot harder to get because if you buy tickets from them you are offered the same tickets again the next year. Most Bama fans that bought back in 92 have kept their seats every year and sold them when Bama didn’t go.
I tried to buy some a few years ago but there is a lottery for the waiting list and if you win the lottery and get your name on the waiting list it is good for only 1 year then you have to try the lottery again the next year.
Also most of the tickets are sold to companies sponsoring the game and what's left over is then split among the two schools minus some that the SEC keeps for their own use.
 
I pulled this off of tickets-rolltide.com. I have 133 priority points and don't qualify for SEC Championship tickets.

Here is your online post-season ticket request form. Please verify your shipping address and place an order for all games you would like to attend. If you or a guest require disability seating please contact the ticket office at (205)348-2262 or by email at ticketoffice@ia.ua.edu.
You will notice there are no prices listed due to multiple price levels at several bowl sites. Your seat location and price level will be determined by your priority points or season ticket priority. The ability to request tickets does not guarantee that you will receive tickets.

Please click here for detailed information regarding your post-season order. You may view your priority point total by clicking on "My Account" at the left.

Below are the point ranges and ticket limits for all post-season games.

2,025 points and up - ticket limit of 8
900 - 2,024 points - ticket limit of 4
245 - 899 points - ticket limit of 2
0 - 244 points - tickets are only available if quantities remain. SEC Championship Tickets are not available.
U of A Football Lettermen and Faculty/Staff who purchased and received season tickets can request 2 tickets to each game.
The SEC Championship Game is not listed based on your priority points total
 
I think it is pretty stupid to allow someone to reserve 8 tickets to invite their entire extended family to a game while some people will be sitting at home watching that wanted to go. I guess thats just how the world works.

I feel your pain. I was able to get a chance to order SECCG tickets in 1999, but with the new Tide Totals system, I will not get that opportunity.
 
From the last time we went to Atlanta I bought my tickets from Tenn fans who thought they might be going (cough, cough).

Check Tenn newspapers for anyone advertising tickets or WGOW-FM Sporttalk has a place on their website for people selling tickets. Imagine there should be quite a few available from all over TN.

I've been in Tide Pride since day one I've never not received tickets to either the SECCG of any bowl game to date including the 92 NC in New Orleans. That is not to say it will not happen since they have instituted a points systems I don't know how this will turn out since we've had a a long drought in going. I ordered all the bowl packages. I am in the Century Club level of Tide Pride. Im optomistic about tix for this year too.
 
I also think it is a little absurd that some people will be able to buy as many as 8 tickets and like others here, we can't even get the 2 we should be able to get. I know it is just the politics of TP and that money talks, but it sure does make it crappy on the ones who haven't been season ticket holders that long. I joined TP as soon as I graduated in 2004 and have had them ever since. Guess I will have to make a large donation and climb higher on the totem pole....
 
Do you guys realize how much $$ it takes to get 2000+ points? Without these people we couldn't afford Saban's salary, Shula's buyout, north endzone expansion, etc. They are a big reason we are enjoying our current success and they deserve their tickets.

Personally I'm still waiting on my season tickets, been on the list since just before Shula got fired. At this point it will probably take another expansion to get a lot of us in, but I'm ok with that.
 
I always kinda feared what would happen with Tide Totals once we started winning again and how it would effect tickets. I'm not sure if it will but it will be a shame if it does, especially after all the crying the university does about ordering bowl tickets through them. I've not missed many SECCG and was present for the last one,but I'm in unknown territory here with Tide Totals kicking in at 221 points I'm 24 points short if dollars mater then I'd have to come up with at least another $1200.00 just to get in to the bottom leg 245 and that would only be good for next seasons count.

How many folks do you think would spend the bucks to accumulate 2500+/- Tide Totals points if they risked being redistributed to people who "can't even get the 2 we should be able to get."

Just out of curiousity, how would you define "should"?

That's a really dumb way to do it. Let students only purchase one ticket, but let them get seats together if they go to the ticket office together. That way all who want to go can go.
 
Oh well, I guess I should have cashed out those condos and stocks and given then to good ol Bama while they were still worth something. Now you can't even trade condos for game tics.

BTW The Tide totals was started because they added more sky boxes and could no longer allow sky box owners to order as many tickets as they wanted.... now they are allowed only 8.
I'm in the century club with only 117 points way to low to get anything other than the unpopular bowls.
 
I bought tix off ebay a few weeks ago, knowing I could resell them for at least what I had in vested as the game neared if we didn't make it somehow.

The longer you wait, the more you're going to pay, ime.
