Spencer Tillman is the last guy that I want to listen to for 3 and a half hours. I wish CBS would offer Keith Jackson millions of dollars to skip Pac 10 Country and come share his whoa-nellies with more appreciative folks.

Tillman has been buying into Holtz's comments too much. Tillman doesn't want to give Alabama any credit (i. e. Holtz). We blow out Florida and all he wants to talk about is leaving Prothro in too long. We'll see what ole taternutts has to say when Bama is still in contention for the NC at the end of the year.

It will be OK as long as we know what's coming ahead of time.
Old Spencer Tillman will spend the entire game picking Bama apart.

Any mistake, particularly on offense, will be the "reason" we are not going to be successful much longer this season. Don't forget tough games ahead against Tennessee, LSU, and Auburn. Any other mistakes, defensive mistakes included become additional justification for his position.

Meanwhile, back on the field; Bama is overcoming any mistakes it might make. The offense is not driving for TD's on every possession, only every other possession.

Whatever else the defense is doing, it is mostly 3 and outs.

The special teams are going to have a game they may not match again this year.

Bama is going to beat down Ole Miss by a large margin on the road.

Tillman won't be a believer, but the contrast between his analysis and what is actually happening on the field will be entertaining.

I look forward to it. (Of course I look forward to it, it's a BAMA game). :D

I disagree with the previous posts. I have really respected the color analysis of Tillman when he has done bama games in the past. He has come off as (amazingly) fairly objective to me. And I believe, although I'm not sure, one of the games I am basing this on was an Alabama/Auburn game, where I was just flabergasted at how objective he sounded.

He gives us our props at times.

BTW still loathing UT, with a healthy dislike for AU.

Did Spencer Tillman go to Ole Miss?

Is he related to the Spurlock kid?

Man, that was painful.

I couldn't agree more. I don't mind when a local announcer shows bias. It is expected by the fans. But this was a national telecast. I hope that I someday get the opportunity to tell Spencer what I think of his performance today. He was nauseating...

If they don't know I think they need to check his family tree! That was one of the worst performances by a color-analyst that I have ever heard/watched! I wont say what I was thinking at the time, you'd of thought he was pushing Spurlock for the Heisman, but he needs to be a little more careful in his presentation!

The week leading up to the UF game, I was listening to the radio. And, on one of the local Tuscaloosa stations, Shula was on answering questions from people all over the country. The format went like this.

Radio guy: Coach, the next question is from [insert name] of [insert newspaper or TV station]

The media person would ask the question, and Shula would answer the question. Then, as soon as he finished, you would get, "Coach, the next question is from.... This went on for about five or six questions until the radio guy said, "Coach, the next question is from Spencer Tillman of CBS Sports." Shula immediately said, "Hey Spener, how you doing?"

So, whatever you want to say about him, obviously our coach likes him. He didn't do that with anybody else who had a question.

Tillman Is Not A Pro

He injects his personal opinion in like stuffing in a turkey
Oh where oh where is Keith Jackson when we're having a miracle year?
Tillman knows Bama fans don't like anymore than BUTT Messgurger!
RTR
