Tired of the negative-Read this!

As someone who was there I can tell you it was a great day! If anybody happened to see the Rick & Bubba incident on hole #7 with Jerry Pate and Jay Barker, I'm sure you're still laughing!

For those of you who didn't see it, this is what happened.

Rick was in a golf cart following the grouping and commentating on how Speedy and Bubba were doing as Rick doesn't play golf. Anyway, Jerry Pate had been giving Rick a hard time and finally got him to hit a tee shot on the Par 3 7th. Jerry handed Rick his Driver (yes a driver on a 150 yard par 3) and somehow Rick made contact with the ball...the only problem was that the ball actually went sideways OB into somebody's back yard. Well, that was pretty funny, but I guess Rick was feeling his oats since he was able to make contact and told Jerry to give him another try. Well. I guess Jerry decided he needed HIS driver for the actual tourney and didn't trust Rick, so without Jay Barker knowing, takes Jay's driver and gives it to Rick. This time, Rick takes a HUGE swing and divot (yes with a driver) and the ball goes about 75 yards down and OB right again. The bigger issue was that Jay's ($400+) driver's club head went farther than the ball! Rick is standing there with a shaft and no clubhead! Jerry Pate was literally rolling on the tee box laughing so hard I thought he was going to die. Speedy, Bubba and the crowd were going nuts too. It took Jay just a minute to realize that it was his club and all he could say was "hey, that's my driver" in this really high pitched voice. That was without a doubt one of the funniest moments I've seen on a golf course and I've seen a lot of them!
