Booger President Chris Roberts said:
The rolling of Toomer’s Corner is one of the nation’s top sports traditions,” Auburn president Christopher Roberts said. “Our fans have come together for decades on the corner of Magnolia and College to celebrate our big wins. In recent years, we continued our cherished tradition by rolling different trees, but I am very excited that the Auburn Family will once again be able to roll our most prominent trees.”

Given it's "one of the nation's top sports traditions" here's hoping the trees continue to live a quite, peaceful, un-rolled life for many years to come.

why don't auburn fans just toilet paper their own house and front yard if it is such a fun thing to do in celebration?

Yea, I saw this earlier and just laughed. Barney's president is the one that proclaims "The rolling of Toomer’s Corner is one of the nation’s top sports traditions" which makes it self proclaimed utter nonsense.

So happy for them.

By the way, wasn't the rolling and subsequent removal method of the tissue slowly killing the original trees?
Yeah makes perfect sense, right? We are killing the trees by rolling them, so let’s give them a break, then go back doing it some more and finish the job. After all it is a “tradition”. A tradition kind of like the “tradition” gastrointestinal issues after eating 7/Eleven roller food……

“The rolling of Toomer’s Corner is one of the nation’s top sports traditions,” I am sure this is right up there with the dotting of the “i” at Ohio State, running through the T at Knoxville, having the white outs at Happy Valley, playing “between the hedges,” playing at night in Red Stick, and other famous college football traditions. It is amazing to me just when you thought that they could not get any more stupid…

This brings to mind a line by mad King George in Hamilton ...

"I will kill your friends and family to remind you of my love."
