Top 20 Soccer Matchup this week

Really hope the local fans show up at the ALA Soccer Stadium Thursday night for Tide against the USC Gamecocks. SEC Network also. We've beat top ten teams (FSU/A&M) during Coach Wes Hart's tenure. Going to be a tough test but they are coming off a draw yesterday with NC State and we played a TON of players last night and should be well rested.

Bama won 2-0 over #5 South Carolina. A strong defensive performance by the Bama side and could've/should've had another goal or two.

Great point eded58- they totally dominated the match against a perennial SEC power. I always worry about those Sunday games after a home Football game as we play UT-Chatt this weekend. But with 13 seniors, we have to be one of the most experienced team in the country.

Based on the ranked pre-sec teams, it sure seems like a strong squad. It would be great to have another Tide team in the post season championship race.

It certainly has the potential to be the best ever. Will definitely move into the top 10 today when the polls come out. Coach Wes Hart has done a very good job of building the program. With 13 seniors out of 29 players, this seems like the year to challenge for an SEC title and win a couple of games at least in the NCAA tourney. BUT, a long ways to go!!
