The Crimson Tide will begin Regional play against the Miami Hurricanes on Friday

HATTIESBURG, MS – No. 2 seed Alabama baseball is prepared to begin its 2025 NCAA Tournament run starting Friday, May 30, when the Crimson Tide takes on No. 3 seed Miami at Pete Taylor Park. Alabama is 60-39 all-time in Regional play, including a 4-6 record against the Hurricanes in postseason/neutral site contests.

Well we gave up a 3 run HR in the first. Down 4-0 in the 4th.

Loaded the bases in the 4th and pushed three across. Down 4-3 but back in the game.

I was thinking about how the HR ball that carried us the first half of the year has slowed down a lot so I looked up the stats entering today.

91 HRs in 57 games
52 HRs the first half and 39 HRs the second half
42 HRs the first third, 19 HRs the second third, and 30 HRs the third third
50 HRs in 25 games against non-SEC teams for 2.00 HRs/game
41 HRs in 32 games against SEC teams for 1.28 HRs/game

Makes sense that the numbers would step back during SEC play. The level of pitching ratchets up a great deal from what we faced in the non-con.

Well LeBron’s numbers kinda show you that most of our positive hitting stats are misleading and are more of a product of a weak non conference schedule. I mean he has been a strikeout machine in SEC play but is still above 300. I don’t see this as good of a hitting team like 2 years ago
