From people around the school..............I cant vouch for their veracity, but thats the theme I've heard over and over. We shall seeThere usually is competition during Spring. Not sure how it would be any different. You have heard? From where?

They're not leaving because of Milroe. That's just something someone said. They're leaving looking for that best road to the NFL.I thought the team wanted Milroe starting?
Now they are leaving because of Milroe?
I really never understood why they wanted him starting because he is not a “point guard” but the focus with his running. We have to many weapons to be hamstrung by one player being shutdown.
None of this makes a whole lot of sense. It seems we’ve had a culture issue since 2021 when the 2020 guys left.
I’m glad there is a change in leadership to be honest. I think Coach Saban knew we needed a rebuilding and that it was going to be hard to get rid of the issues on this team and he didn’t have the energy to deal with it anymore. What a great coaching job they did this year considering the attitudes and issues we have.
Here’s to Coach Deboer and new beginnings!

They are at that place…They're not leaving because of Milroe. That's just something someone said. They're leaving looking for that best road to the NFL.
I think those players were wanting to leave anyway because of the green cabbage to be consumed elsewhere............if they want to leave, then you can talk to them but you cant stop them. I'd have at least given the new coach a shot to convince me, but young people think much differently than othersOf course he should have to compete for it, that's exactly what I said would happen. But at least one poster in this thread implied that CKD should encourage Milroe to transfer right now so we can hold on to people like Bond, Niblack, et al. So the message seems to be "Boot Milroe, who is apparently willing to stay and compete, to save the turds who can't seem to stomach the change." Look, I'm no huge Milroe defender. Early in the season especially, I thought we should have switched to Ty S. and ride it out from there. But at least Milroe isn't bailing on the team like some of these cats.
Well, I think JD is pretty heavily implying that Milroe should be told to leave. No one is saying that................what they are saying is that there should be an open QB competition. Saban held that all positions are up for grabs his whole time at Bama. Should Milroe be gifted the position or should he have to compete for it?
I cant speak for him, but my feeling is that he should be told you have to earn that spot, and if he doesnt improve and others do, he isnt the starterWell, I think JD is pretty heavily implying that Milroe should be told to leave.
There's a ton of innuendo there. That's all I'll say.
That would be a big mistake. We have no clue what Sayin will be like in September. He may not be as ready as some think.Well, I think JD is pretty heavily implying that Milroe should be told to leave.
Well, I think that was evident all season...............especially seeing players open waiving for the ball and then not getting it.There's a ton of innuendo there. That's all I'll say.
I for one think it is crazy to hold out hope for a true freshman to start. Let the kid develop some imo. Not sure why we are writing off the entire QB room and pinning everything on a kid who hasn’t even gone to prom yet. That would be a big mistake. We have no clue what Sayin will be like in September. He may not be as ready as some think.
With a huge learning curve for all of them, if Sayin gets it about as good as the others (and we get a capable OL) I'm right there with you. I know he has the arm talent so it's just a matter of adjusting to the speed of the game.I am trying not to pull for anyone. But, really, I can't help but hope that Sayin is the guy right out of the gates.
Bond is. He didn't mention Milroe, but said it all the same. Read what he said. He left for a QB who would get him the ball and improve his NFL draft stock. They're not leaving because of Milroe. That's just something someone said. They're leaving looking for that best road to the NFL.
Lonergan and Simpson are capable of throwing the ball..........no one should write them off, and Sayin will need to develop. All in good timeI for one think it is crazy to hold out hope for a true freshman to start. Let the kid develop some imo. Not sure why we are writing off the entire QB room and pinning everything on a kid who hasn’t even gone to prom yet.
The second that Saban retired, I expected a 2-3 year rebuild. The transfer portal makes it almost impossible for a guy like Les Miles to come in and win a championship with the previous head coach's players.I think we should prepare for 2024 to actually be a true rebuild. Something we haven’t really seen since 2007.
