I mean… dude is 25 years old right?Blue font...?
I think the report said that he would turn 26 in JanuaryI mean… dude is 25 years old right?![]()
There is apparently a pending NCAA case which may change that, so guys without eligibility are entering the porral just in case. Kansas had a 15 ppg player who played 4 full seasons enter today also. I don't know which case it could be, though. I hadn't heard about allowing more than 4 seasons. Might as well let them play forever, while we're at it.I honestly don’t understand the eligibility rules. I was looking at the point guards available and noticed the UNCWilmington point guard who I remembered for this season and was like he was a pretty good player might fit in. I then go and look at his stats and have no idea how he is in the portal.
1. 20-21 he played 22 games ok that Covid year and doesn’t count
2. 21-22 plays 32 games at Wisconsin Milwaukee
3. 22-23. Plays 34 games at UnCW.
4. 23-24 plays 32 games at UNCW
5. 24-25 plays 34 games at UNCW.
So I count 5 years already 1 being Covid year but even so he has played 4 years and 154 games. That almost identical to Sears who is out of eligibility. How does he have eligibility?
Can Coward play the point and be the distributor we need, or is simply a taller version of Holloway that is better suited for the 2 spot?Heard today it is down to Duke and Bama for Coward. Would be a great pick-up but Duke going to be tough to beat.
His NIL should be with the AARPThere is a slew of players joining the portal last few days who don’t have any eligibility left but I guess if they allow you to play til you graduate Chad Baker Mazar might become all time leading scorer.
Can't decide if I'd rather have him or Darius Adams, the incoming freshman who decommited from UCONN that we're supposed to be in on. Coward would be a heck of a get if he can stay healthy, but that injury makes him a question mark.Heard today it is down to Duke and Bama for Coward. He appears to be a 2 so not sure about playing point. CNO always says we recruit positionless players so I assume he can handle the ball some. Can Coward play the point and be the distributor we need, or is simply a taller version of Holloway that is better suited for the 2 spot?
First I heard of Adams. When and why did he de-commit? Long term it would be Adams but since they can leave after a year I would take the seasoned experienced option if healthy. Can't decide if I'd rather have him or Darius Adams, the incoming freshman who decommited from UCONN that we're supposed to be in on. I haven't seen the reason mentioned, but i think it happened on Saturday. There really hasn't been much info on him other than a Bama beat writer or two saying that Bama is expected to be in the mix, and a few Michigan St articles pondering whether they will pursue him this time around. I would normally agree about the future and all, but in this day and age, we can't really count on anyone being here more than a year.First I heard of Adams. When and why did he de-commit? That would be great. My worry is that all the bigger names entering the portal this late are doing so because it will likely be their last chance to cash in before the house settlement is approved. That will supposedly take away the current model of pay-for-play, so some of these guys may be looking for huge NIL deals one last time. I don't remember this many bigger names entering so late during last season's window.Boogie Fland just entered the portal. We recruited him pretty heavily, I would think he'd be someone to watch out for.
