Anyone concerned with travel issues Saturday? I am scheduled to fly out of Birmingham, thru Atlanta then on to Orlando. Concerned my Atlanta leg might get messed up. I guess if it gets cancelled. We can try to get out Sunday. Does anyone have a back up plan in the event of weather issues?

We fly out of B'ham on Saturday as well, thru ATL, then onto TPA. I'm concerned, but hopeful. Flights out of ATL going south should be fine IMO. The question is can your plane make it to ATL from wherever it's coming from; not due to ATL problems, but due to other regions of the country.

It's about a 6 hour drive from Atl. :-)

Taking the game day charter from Birmingham on Monday so all weather issues should be resolved before then.

The Wife and I stayed at hotel near Bham airport Friday nite to minimize travel problems to airport. That worked out well. Other than taking it slow on that short drive to terminal, we had no travel issues. Delta departed and arrived on time. Tampa was experiencing the end of a rain storm when we arrived, but before Saturday nite was over, temperatures were down to 44 degrees with stiff wind! Cold as a witch's behind! Hopefully today will be warmer!

Don't count on it. But it sure beats 14 degrees back in NJ. I didn't even bring any shorts with me. We had a pretty turbulent flight from about NC down to a windy landing in Tampa yesterday just before noon.

Driving down tomorrow from the Birmingham area. There is still ice on some bridges around here, but hopefully will melt this afternoon.
