Tremayne Coger Update

Scout.com four-star Tide verbal commit was in Tuscaloosa for an official visit last weekend. He is eager to move to Alabama.

"I thought the visit went pretty good," said Tremayne Coger from Columbia-Central, (Tenn.). "I liked everything about it. I saw the academic center, and I thought it was really nice. Alabama has a lot of resources to help you. I learned a lot more about the campus and the rest of the college life when I was on my visit."

Just read the Nashville Tennessean's all Midstate team lineups. Looked but did not find Tremayne Coger's name anywhere. Of course these are selections determined by the area's sportswriters. The obvious question is, if he is good enough to get an offer from Alabama why would he not be an all Midstate selection? Got to believe the coaches know more about his potential than a bunch of sportswriters.

Rivals.com has him listed as the seventh best player in Tennessee. Perhaps Nashville does not consider itself as being part of Tennessee.

I believe Coger was injured most of this season. This could keep him off of local all-star teams, but not stop him from being rated as a top player for college recruiting...
