I thought burning a flag was what was proper, once it's worn out...
There are groups that collect worn out flags and burn them in a ceremony.

I agree he is doing this just to rile up his base. I’m not a fan of doing it but it’s not something I lose sleep over as I have never seen it happen in person and only rarely in random protests.

My local town had one of those No More Kings rallies and a counter protestor had a Confederate flag. This was on the day we honored the actual American flag and celebrated the birthday of the Army and this clown shows up waving a flag representing a defunct country that waged war against the United States.

I get people are offended by burning flags but the MAGA crowd says to do something to their feelings I can’t say here. Apparently it’s not being a snowflake if a mediocre restaurant changing their logo offends you.

I agreed with this right away when you posted this yesterday, but didn't give much thought to it after the fact. After some time, I realized something though. Yes, there is a good chance that a lot of lefties out there will make a point to start up the flag burning again......which will look great with the mid-terms only a year away. I honestly can't help but wonder if that was his goal all along.

Say what you want about the guy, Trump is crafty enough to know how to manipulate his detractors. That's not saying much, though. A brain-damaged gerbil could figure these people out.
I think the correct term is "petty". He's petty enough

Of course he is, but so are his enemies. A honey bee will disembowel itself just for the opportunity to cause a little pain to another animal. There are a lot of people in this country who can relate to this level of pettiness and they can be found on both sides of the aisle.

Top officials at the Pentagon are "thinking about" whether the U.S. should acquire equity stakes in leading defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said Tuesday.

The Cabinet secretary, in an interview on CNBC's "Squawk Box," revealed the Defense Department's interest in taking those stakes days after the U.S. government acquired 10% of Intel stock in a roughly $9 billion deal.
This is a HORRIBLE idea. What the hell are they thinking?

It is old news that China has cut off almost 100% of US farm imports. Over the last couple of days I have found out that China has granted import licenses to all major Brazilian Coffee exporters who are subject to 55% Trump Tarriff. China is the fastest growing coffee market in the world. Where will Americans buy their coffee and how much will it cost? This morning it was reported that China has found other sources for LP and LNG and is largely cutting out western suppliers.

I did see some slowing reported in the overall Chinese economy but I believe that will hold true generally around the world with the chaos that Trump has created in international trade!

"Hey buddy, my daddy died for that flag."

"Really? I bought mine. They sell 'em at K-Mart."

"He died in Korea for that flag!"

"Wow, what a coincidence. Mine was made in Korea."

No one—and I repeat, no one—has ever died for a flag. See, a flag is just a piece of cloth. They may have died for freedom, which, by the way, is the freedom also to burn the flag.

-Bill Hicks

Hey MAGA, if we are going to create flag laws, let's outlaw the Confederate flag. I mean, if we love America so much, why would we want to fly the flags of other countries anyway (especially of ones that no longer exist)? It's the Star-Spangled Banner or nothing, right?

Or maybe the freedom that allows you to plaster that disgusting, insulting Confederate flag all over your truck is the same freedom that allows people to burn the flag. I don't expect you to grasp this concept, though. It will fly right over your heads.

I thought we were against communism?

Yall do realize government ownership of these businesses is otherwise decreasing the tax receipts paid by these businesses?

This is an implementation of the Russian economy.
Which btw is the envy of the world...

But, hey, when Trump is right, let's give him credit when credit is due...

This is a HORRIBLE idea. What the hell are they thinking?

Embattled Fed Governor Lisa Cook’s lawyer says she’ll sue Trump to keep her job

Does anyone else see the irony of Trump trying to fire Cook because she allegedly lied on a mortgage application?

Today President Trump held a 3 hour cabinet meeting that was televised and had members of the media present to ask questions.

This was the 7th such meeting in his first 7 months in office!

Whether or not you agree with his politics......I love this type of transparency and accountability!

Is that when he said this?

I’ve tried watching parts of it on YouTube. It was all about Trump blaming Biden for everything, lying, claiming how great he is, and then his cabinet members kissing his behind and proclaiming how great he is.
Lutnick was truly outstanding…. “Mr. President, you are the very best. I am so proud to work with you. Thank you so much…”.

Where did you see anything about accountability in this cabinet meeting?
It was all lies & propaganda.

Accountability? When has Trump been held accountable for ANYTHING?

And let's not forget what he said this in front of everybody:

Very transparent--Hard to make his intentions much clearer than that Yay?
