TV alert: Bama-UT 2005

until recently, yahoo had the video of game you're watching available on demand. thank God it's gone.

i'm watching it now. our defense was unbelievable!
i can't believe how bad croyle was about throwing off his back foot. how did the coaches not correct that.
can't wait till rocky stop. Roll Tide!

I will never understand the O-line play, it was just horrible. I don't know what CNS will do with the O-line, but it will have to be better than that mess we saw for four years under XCMS.

Remember that the current staff regards the OL we have now as being the closest in talent to top-level SEC than any other group. Now ask yourself what it takes to take talent like that and make it look as bad as the previous regime made it look? How about an OL coach who became furious in practice if the DL "bull-rushed" and made his OL look bad, because "nobody does that any more." Or an OL coach who graded the OL 95 and above in the MSU game? I'm looking west with great interest this year. Maybe nobody on the west coast bull rushes any more...

Yah, UCLA, and USC's D will eat them alive this year. In fact, by early October I imagine everyone at UCLA will start wondering how the offensive line got so offensive so fast...

good riddance to bad rubbish

We were at that one. We stayed in our seats to savor the victory. We were like the last ones to leave out seats. We saw this drunk heckling the Vols band below us. He did a pretty good job too. What a game. I have never been to two games in a row decided by field goals, we were at Ole Miss the week before.

We were tied 3-3 and UT was about to score at least a FG...most likely a TD. I saw visions of 2003 all over again. We were about to let them take another win from us in our own house. So...I turned to my buddy next to me and I told him it was over...that we were going to lose again. And he told me the game wasn't over. I told him it was...and that I would buy him any drink he wanted after the game. We shook on it and then Rocky Stop happened. He wanted the most bang for my buck...so he got a Long Island Iced Tea. I still can't believe we won that game...absolutely amazing.

Also...I was the last person to leave Neyland Stadium in 2002. Me and my buddies thought the team was going to come back out of the locker room to be with the fans. So we waited...and waited...and then the lights went out...and then security came up to us and showed us the gate. Victory was sweet that night...and I got to enjoy my first "Third Saturday" cigar. I'm hoping to take a few puffs again this fall.
