UA officials meet with NCAA on textbooks

Why dont we just ignore them and make ourselves not available for questioning like usc is doing in the bush case????

Two things...First to answer your question. Because we're Alabama and the NCAA is still trying to find a way to pin the USC case on us!

Second, this is a good sign. Also, by the NCAA's own comments they want cases such as these to be put to rest PRIOR to the Athletes missing more games than necessary if rules weren't broken or if circumstances allow for players to remain eligible. Therefore I would be shocked if there wasn't a resolution to this by Friday. However, given what I know and what I've heard I wouldn't expect the players back for this weekend.

It looks way better for us to appear in person. That gives the appearance we have nothing to hide. Not to mention they will most likely have to review some stuff. This was probably done to speed the process. Its not always the negative side buddy try to be positive.

But you can understand why we are still pensive.

Yeah, the NCAA is very subjective so its always understandable to be pensive when dealing with them. I think in this case, however, we were as proactive as we could and it seems like we are projecting the image that we are working with them as partners rather than as adversaries.

Flying up there to talk with them is certainly a lot better than sitting around waiting for them to show up. :-)

Yes I can but our leader has told us it isn't a problem. He said that rather emphatically. There is NOTHING we can do about the problem. We can worry about it until it is resolved. That does not change the outcome. I think the best thing any of us can do is forget about that crap and focus on what we can each do to help our team win this next ball game. The less talk and worrying there is about this problem from us then the less chance there is any distraction for the team. I'm not saying we are distracting them but it could happen and I would hate for a player to read something and that cause him to miss an assignment, I know its a stretch but it could happen. Guys the staff is all over this, if anything they are being over cautious. They are in Indy today to work the problem out as fast as possible. It will be taken care of and most likely the worst thing that happens is we lose a player or two for the game. Thats not that big of a deal. Lets do our part to be POSITIVE IN EVERYTHING WE DO as our great head coach has instructed us to do. RTR and lets beat the kittens.

The issue of eligibility was not resolved today, however this was not due to the NCAA not being satisfied with Alabama but Alabama is not done with their investigation. Do not look for any of these guys to play. This is not bad news as far as the University goes just some incite into who will and won't be playing RTR.
